  GHOSTOFJEFFERSON, I agree that the government has no right to put a fat person on a diet. Except when the government tells hospitals they have to treat anybody coming in, insurance or not. And they give out taxpayer medicare and medicaid. Does taking those taxpayer benefits require a fattie to follow directions from the government to help prevent huge future healthcare expenditures that are funded by taxpayers? To me, this is a big, big, question about what the government can mandate, e.g. healthcare, and then what complicent future regulations it can enact to enforce and/or protect taxpayers.
