  These are hard times. It’s not because of the price of gas. I can’t speak for our trolls, but I am truly troubled by the things I see happening to what was once a free and principled country.

  There are a few reactions folks can have, and one is to just sleep-and-slide with the demise while not paying attention; another is to take stock in yourself and pick yourself up.

  No … Gowdy was right. She forfeited her right to 5th by testifying on her own behalf. She will be forced to testify or be held in contempt. Either way, I think she’s headed for jail.

  I was hoping Issa would hold her in contempt and lead her out in handcuffs.

  Here’s my question: “Does an employee have the right to the 5th amendment when asked questions by their employer?” She works for “the people”. Fine, if you don’t want to testify, you are fired and you lose all benefits. Furthermore, we shall freeze all of your assets via the IRS until you come clean.

  @ADVECTION: It is characteristic of the progressive ideologue that “learning” and “experience” are meaningless. You just need the talking points and the promise that just around the corner things will get better because more laws can be crafted to fix anything.

  Frankly, I think it’s a mental disorder.

  Good list. No problem there. I have not read or listened to them all, because they are many (I’ll try). When it come to science, I rest my case on the basics.

  Let me say something that an oath-taker might appreciate: Science is not art, anymore than law is fluid. As there are many who would bend the meaning of our “natural rights” to pervert them, there are those who bend facts and measures to bend the laws of nature to their will. This is essentially the nature of theories of “Global Warming, Cooling or Climate Change”.

  The real science is not very complex, but not a subject for a “message board”. I will summarize by saying “water vapor” dominates the greenhouse effect the way the Baltimore Ravens would dominate the DNC’s rag-football team on any Sunday.

  @MONK … I may not have many (any) Beckels but I can dispute Global-Warming AKA Anthropomorphic (man-changed) Climate, with anyone. It’s total Marx/Lenin stuff made of whole cloth. I am one of the more than 5000 PhD’s who signed the petition declaring this a false issue.
