No, I don’t think the Bible is superstitious. Stories such as Adam and Eve, Noah’s Ark, or the physical resurrection of Jesus do not comport with science–a product of our God-given intelligence–and are no longer needed to convey the power and majesty of our Creator.
The Bible was written as it was because of OUR limitations, not God’s. We read simple stories that convey moral and spiritual guidance to our children because of their undeveloped intellects. In the 21st Century, I believe we are expected to investigate the Word intelligently, independently, and with reason.

Superstition. What was resurrected was FAITH, not Jesus’ physical body. The Body of Christ represents the believers.
"Superstition. What was resurrected was FAITH, not Jesus’ physical body. The Body of Christ represents the believers."
So, Hungry, do you believe the New Testament is superstition? It seems in the following that John is referring to Jesus' resurrected physical body, don't you think:
(ESV Strong's) 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” 28 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Glad to see your still alive after two thousand years . John, who actually was present was of a different opinion . 1John 4:2,3, nor Peter Acts 2: 23,24, nor those who bore witness to all these events . Acts 2: 29, 30, 31, 32. Nor the many thousand Baptised on the day these words were spoken. Nor Saul who at first sought to kill Christians but was persuaded otherwise by Jesus himself. Beware Gnosticism , it is antiChrist.

Are you talking about followers of Elijah Muhammad and The Nation of Islam? Malcom X realized what a racist fraud that was and was murdered for his belief in the universality of Islam.

To be afraid that unless you understand the Word as they did centuries ago you undermine that Word is sophistry. Religion without science is superstition.

I wonder which is most persuasive to malleable young that there is no God.

It would be a much more interesting and instructive vid f they didn’t zoom in and out and bounce around the globe every three seconds. I guess it’s expected that we all have attention spans of gerbils.

Am I the only one who thinks this story was floated by the administration to garner solidarity with the illegal alien crowd?

My guess is that the President WANTS his hand stayed by Congress and popular opinion so he can appear tough, without really being so.
