  • Bava, What would punishing the law abiding citizens accomplish??? The killer did not buy these guns legally, they were not even his. As a matter of fact, almost all people on the streets that commit gun crimes are criminals who buy weapons ILLEGALLY OFF THE STREET. If you take away the right to bear arms, then all of the law abiding LEGAL citizens who bought their guns legally and registered them will be affected, thus losing their Legal guns. The illegal guns will still remain because they are not registered and they are untraceable. THEN all of the criminals with all of the ILLEGAL weapons will be the ONLY PEOPLE WITH WEAPONS and then we would all be at risk. IF this murderer wanted to kill these kids and teachers he would have figured out another way to do it if he hadn’t have had guns. Maybe he would have used a baseball bat or knives or anything else to commit this horrible crime. Maybe he would have strapped a bomb to his chest and blew up more people. Bombs are illegal, you cant buy those in a store, but people still have them and use them. The point is that maniacs that want to kill people will find a way to do it. Murder is illegal and people still do it. Just because a law/rules/regulations are out there doesn’t mean they stop the problems.

  • It would be different if the types of food you could by with food stamps was more regulated. I stand in line all the time and watch people pay for hundreds of dollars worth of food with EBT cards. then pull out a wad of cash and buy beer and cartons of smokes UNREAL.
Second of all, just allow the basics to be bought, no junk food, or candy and things like that. Milk, sugar, flour, bread, eggs, just the necessities. That would curb people off of them AND cut down on obesity.
Its not the fact that EBT are around, its just how the money is used. JUNK and to supplement alcohol, tabacco, and drugs.
