:) nope the story is not about me – and the friends I’m talking about are located in two states, not near each other.

I have 8 cameras on my home and installed a total of 36 cameras on 5 of my friend’s homes.
To date we’ve caught and convicted: 1 pervert too dumb to notices the cameras on my house but he did notice the rifle I was holding. That was 3 years ago and that was it! Not my home or my friend’s have had any trouble any more so far. A good deterrent AND after cooperating with local police these cameras have been attributed directly and indirectly to the successful capture and prosecution of: 1 bank robber, 14 home invasions crime spree by 1 guy (he picked the wrong street), and 3 other home robberies with the bad guys caught. Once you have them, you will never not have them! One tip I would give is to dedicate one of your cameras to looking at the cars that drive by your home.
Is that you and your neighbors in this story or did you all just happen to take the same steps as the folks in this neighborhood? Not being nosy, just find it curious/interesting that you might be commenting on the very story you're featured in.
I've got cameras up around my place and love the fact that you were not only able to but also interested in taking care of your neighbors in the same fashion.
Good on ya'!
