Really? My mother was born weighing less than 3 lbs. They wrapped her in red flannel, put her in a box, covered her with a feather pillow. She was kept by the wood cook stove, and fed around the clock, by eye-dropper. She had no problems, was very healthy all her life. She passed recently at 97. That means she was born in 1917. Pray this baby has all the “luck” my mother received from God.
What are the odds that a 100 babies in your mom's situation would have lived? Not good I bet. You mom lived and 80 other babies died. God sure is choosy.
Thanks for sharing the story. Pretty incredible given it was 1917. Good on the Grand parents to be able to feed her into good health.
The medical costs other than milk could very well be astronomical.
My Grandmother was a tiny premie as well. They put her on the open oven door to keep her alive...
She lived (healthy and sassy) to 92!

Actually Ben, Indiana wasn’t a slave state, but it was a big KKK state. Google, D C Stevenson. He lived in Indianapolis. Took him going to trail for murder, of a woman, that finally brought him, and the Klan down in Indiana.

I am a retired Nurse. I truly believe and so do, many medical people. I know we take way too many antibiotics. But eating something filled with them, from the birth till death, of the animal, can’t possible help the situation. I don’t believe they can be cooked out. Got some exact data?

And in eating the meat, it has helped, the eaters to become less sensitive, to antibiotics when we really need them. I eat some, just not everyday. I’m old so WTH
Is: I catch your drift. Some other poster on this this thread is complaining about too much salt. If added salt or salt in processed foods was going to kill us we would all be "Back To The Future, Atlantis II."

We just got Jersey Mike’s here. It’s the best hands down. They are filled to the max. Subway has gotten really nasty IMO. We don’t talk about Jared in these parts. He lived in a town about 8 miles from here. He’s a hated man.

Sorry I disagree. I don’t believe this is really racial. First I’m white. Lawrence County is my home county. I don’t live there now. You must not be familiar with “hard shell” Baptists. White or Black they are stubborn about their Pastors. No women no how. I remember when women couldn’t speak in church. This church did agree, when the papers were signed. So they need to take their congregation to another location. I was raised Methodist, they have gone all liberal. Part of the family, Church of Christ and Southern Baptist. You can’t tell me much about church politics. Lawrenceburg is the hometown of Former Senator Fred Thompson.

WTH are either of them saying? I’ve tried to read her work. Makes no sense. Her getting a Pulitzer is much like his Noble Peace, much ado about nothing.

That’s like asking the difference between a rectal and oral thermometer. Answer is the taste. Answer to your query, not a blooming thing.

You forgot the okra and greens. I bet pork is hard to find there. He must not be Orthodox, I don’t believe he would have even touched it. Maybe for a really good cause…..just saying.

Don’t know how they knew each other. But, this lady lived in Central Indiana, close to where I live, and just passed from a 12 year battle with cancer. I just read her obit, in the morning paper. Didn’t expect to see a reference about her on The Blaze. It’s a very small world.

Make that three. I saw the pic and thought, is she trying to channel Lucy? Thought maybe it was “dress up” day on the view. Who watches that mess?

Beep does happen. I for one commend this man. He may have saved his son from harm by pulling his son out. And he well may have saved some other child from harm by calling CPS. Better to err on the side of the children than not.
Nope. Not when it comes to the power of government. Unless a law has been broken, of you've been damaged in some way, leave them out of it. Could've threatened to picket the place, threatened to have them investigated by a PI, but in this day and age, you've go to be an idiot to ever thing children protective services (what an oxymoron) is going to be of any benefit to anyone in this situation.

How about fried bologna, grits and gravy? I don’t believe these convicts would turn down bacon or a pork chop. A big fib, catering to the CAIR people.

A little proof would be nice. I’m not saying you’re wrong. Just give us some back-up to your post.

I agree, Conservatives don’t get as loud as we should. We should be as adamant about our own, as we are with the Libs. Lying and cheating cannot be excused. That’s how we got here folks.
