Pope Francis’ Sermon Sparks Debate: ‘Even the Atheists’ Have Been Redeemed ‘With the Blood of Christ’

@COSMICJESUSZOMBIE
I see you’ve done your research objectively — NOT!
I know you don’t know me, however, I’m not only a skeptic by nature, and held a similar position as you until I was 35, I’m also a pretty smart (and very reasonable) guy. I don’t have, nor believe in, blind faith in terms of biblical truth.
If you weren’t so subjective in your posture and at least did some honest research, you would find the topic (at the very least) debatable. Then you might even avoid the kind of mindless, blanket assertions that make you look like an ideological simpleton.

You wanted an answer, I gave you one. All you did in response was mock and ridicule me. I have nothing more to say to you.
I Corinthians 2:14, NIV. “The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

And good luck with your plan.

No, what sucks is to think your good works will save you.

Okay, some typos and words left out, lol… I was thinking faster than I was typing! Here is a (hopefully) corrected version:
The Bible states that everyone is born in a time and place that is most conducive to him/her receiving Christ (the Messiah).
If you read Romans chapters 1-3, there is a clear progression of light. The first is the light of creation, then the light of conscience, and finally, the light of Christ. If you respond to the light given, you will be given more light.
Now do you really think the jungle surrounding a remote village is capable of keeping Christ out? How is it that missionaries end up in these very remote spots on earth and not others? God leads them there. That said, Christ can come to a person in a vision or dream or anyway He sees fit. To try and put the Creator of everything seen and unseen in a box is pretty pathetic.
Last, the Bible also says every man will be without excuse. So I can’t say if those in some remote village are saved or not. I can say that those who, in faith, seek the truth — putting all their presuppositions, preconceived notions, and personal desires aside — and accept it willingly, will be saved. Those who don’t, won’t.

@simpletruths
No, I don’t say, the Bible does. The empirical evidence for the Bible being reliable is astounding. The only fairy tale is the one you hold to for which you have no sufficient evidence.
And yes, according to the Pope, you’re good…

Okay, my bad; I misread your comment. I missed that you wrote “unwelcome”. I will answer your other question on your other post.

I guess you misread the article and what the Pope said… no need to pray for redemption for all of us. According to him everyone already has it!

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
Matthew 7:15 KJV
The Bible says much more than that about false prophets, as well.
