  • It’s legit. : )

  • For the record…this kid is legit. I work with him at one of his non-related experience jobs and he is a hard worker, he is polite and does his job well. I’m glad someone from our crew is catching a break because it never would have happened with the company we work for, mostly because it is an impacted industry with way too many applicants for each position…see link of previous viral letter from someone who tried to get hired on and failed, multiple times. I apologize for the crass language the letter writer uses…

  • They only classify those they can use. White, caucasion and male are all claissifications with negative connotations, if you claim them you’re racist and sexist.

  • Is This a Picture of Mitt Romney Pumping His Own Gas?

    In reply to oxycontinxx.

It is him. People have been seeing Ann and him all over San Diego…without security.

  • Um…I get those emails and texts and I have not stopped hearing from OFA since the day he was elected in 2008. I constantly get notifications be it by email or text to help them. I even started getting stuff from the SEIU without signing up for it…Michael Moore is a doofus who does not know what he is talking about, nor that most of the President’s drones have no idea what’s going on let alone how to help him.

  • Hey, does anyone have the rights to Howard Zinn’s works, because I’m pretty sure this lady is making a name for herself with his revisionist history. Typical. Progs can’t see the forest for the trees.

  • This is one of those issues that ALWAYS irks me. Parents, as with anything, should be mindful of what they are allowing their children to access. However, unless they are sitting and having conversations about the deeper meaning of CS Lewis or JR Tolkein books and why it’s ok to read about wizards and magic and monsters in those contexts but not in others, there is no reason to shut out books such as the Twilight series or the Harry Potter series for that matter. All of these books have the common themes of good versus evil, love versus hate, etc. Good and love win in all of them. I for one as a Christian thouroghly enjoyed the Twilight and Harry Potter series because both of the authors had underlying philosophies, whether they meant to or not, that I could relate to & I could connect to my own theological and philisophical worldviews. Stephanie Meyer wrote a story about a girl who felt like she did not belong, like she was awkward and nothing special (many girls can relate to this), who finds a devoted and unconditional love in a boy who is worried more about her virtue than his own happiness, to the extent of wanting to be married before having sex. It is like emotional porn for girls in a way because for many women it exemplifies exactly how they wished love would be, but at the end of the day…it’s a fictional story. If we can not extract from fiction the morals of a story than people of faith have no business reading any fiction at all.

  • The SD County Sheriff’s Department is not out just shooting people at first contact. This was an unfortunate mistake, but being humans, the Department does have imperfect people in an imperfect world. I come from a law enforcement family and I for one would rather have the deputy shoot first and chance that they hit an innocent person than risk being attacked, but I am positive that they are not taught that as a policy, that’s just my selfish preference for my family members’ safety when they are on duty. I hope this woman heals well and the investigation brings about the appropriate decisions and changes deemed necessary to ensure that both the public’ and the deputies’ safety is served in matters of law enforcement.

  • PC’s may be workhorses, but for those of us who prefer our computers for media and fun, Mac’s are asthetically pleasing and efficient (not to mention easy to use and not bogged down with 5,000 trial run programs that come with it). I’ve been using computers on a daily basis since I started high school and PC’s in no way compare to the Mac’s I have used. It may be the icon of the elites, but it’s a reliable and top notch product as well. Point and case for me: I had a Sony Vaio laptop for two years before the motherboard died. I’ve had a Powerbook G4 since 2005 that still works perfectly and has outlasted both my parents HP laptops bought after 2005. With Apple, you do not generally have to be a computer technician to keep your computer running well. It’s a matter of preference and need obviously, but Apple is has been much better for me and well worth the price.

  • Fumbled or not, it’s one of the most exciting plays us Padres fans have seen this season! Go Friar faithful!
