  • I have for a long time thought Glenn was one of the few men with the capacity for vision that Disney had. I was aware of the original design of Epcot long ago and was so disappointed to realize what Epcot had become instead. The original idea was revolutionary and inspiring, but I never thought anyone of this generation would pick up that mantle. So you can imagine my hopefulness when Glenn began discussing Disney. Even this week, I couldn’t begin to really hope that his vision would extend to this. I’m so glad. As soon as it’s possible, I’ll be there…. with my creativity, work ethic, morals, courage, and gumption in tow. Hey, Glenn, if you’re listening, you need to start a university. No, it won’t be accredited, but before long those businesses with our values won’t care. A grad from “Independence U” would be valued over one from Harvard.

  • As much as I’d love to blame Hollywood for this mess of a massacre, only one person is to blame: the murderer. It’s natural to need to blame someone else, but sometimes crap just happens. Sometimes a deer darts in front of you on the highway on a rainy night and you cause a five car pile-up in which a toddler dies, and it isn’t Ford’s fault, it isn’t the department of transportation’s fault, it’s just one of those crappy things that happens. We don’t consider outlawing cars or interstates. We know it’s one of the risks we must put up with to have the benefit of travel that’s faster than a horse and wagon. An armed citizenry is the most important thing that keeps a country from sliding into dictatorship and we must resist the urge to blame anyone for this other than the murderer. Resist loudly and frequently. Instances like this are exactly what they will use to take our guns and then they can do anything.

  • Until further information is available, the word “purposely” needs to be removed from the headline. There is no indication he lit it on purpose. There is no lighter in his hand. It also seems suspicious that the video doesn’t show ANY of the actions leading up to it. What it looks like to me is he is putting this flammable liquid on the guy’s head as mentioned in the article, and then it sparks. He appears to be trying to smother the flames after he realizes what happened. Who knows, maybe it’s a combination of **** product and this flammable liquid. Either way, the headline is sensational and dishonest until we actually know what happened. I expect more from you, Blaze. This is no way to change the media landscape.

  • “Well it’s never going to get paid cause therefore, I cant pay that.”

    Sheer genius. Quick, somebody ask her why 20% of Americans can’t identify the US on a world map.

  • The thing to do here is handle it the way husbands who don’t want to do the dishes handle that. (i.e. they break them)

    If you can’t fit in the booth, STAND and eat your lunch. Make sure you spill stuff. When someone finally comes and asks you what’s up, say “Well, I can’t fit in the booth, but I sure love your burgers. Sorry about the mess.”

    Wouldn’t take too long (especially if you’re a frequent customer) before they’d cart in a handicapped accessible table and chairs.

  • Between the inanity of some of the articles, the simple reposting of AP stories (really? You think I just want a conservative site to get my AP liberal slant from?) and the extremely non-user-friendliness of the site, I maintain my suspicion that someone is trying to take it down from the inside. I said tabloid long ago.

  • What I want to know is, how does an organization staffed entirely by three year olds run a website? Aren’t they too busy stamping their little feet and throwing tantrums? Seriously, they don’t get what they want, but they don’t ask themselves if maybe there might be a REASON they shouldn’t get it?

  • @Whitefang
    Since the scripture you cite says that “tongues will be stilled” that indicates that this verse means the actual body part, however even if you refuse to stipulate that, the verse does not give a time frame for them to be stilled other than “when completeness comes”. I don’t know of anyone who would describe our present condition as any more “complete” than in Paul’s time. This indicates a time in the future. Paul even says a few sentences later, “now I know in part, THEN I shall know fully.” I don’t think he was talking about 2011 or any time in between then and now.

    @Rangerp
    Please cite where Paul tells any congregation not to pray in tongues. It is not in the scripture you cited. In that same passage, Paul says (paraphrased) what good is it if I speak in tongues but you can’t understand it? (And now quoted), “For this reason the one who speaks in a tongue should pray that they may interpret what they say.”

    For the rest of you making jokes, whether you believe in it or not, have the sense not to taunt or mock the Holy Spirit.

    And yes, this woman needs to clarify what on earth happened, precisely because all the junk that’s going on in THESE comments will continue to go on.

  • I was ready to say, “Ok, Blaze, slow news day? Really?” but that was the funniest thing I’ve seen all day… and I’ve been on Twitter. I’m forwarding it to EVERYONE. Oh, and I think that’s genuine fear. Irrational, yes, but genuine.

  • Not that anyone will actually ever read this comment, especially no one from the Blaze, but this story is misleading. She purchased the supposed iPad in a taped up FedEx box. Call her stupid for forking over money in a parking lot without actually looking at the product, but this article insinuates that she saw the block of wood with the apple logo and thought, “yep, that’s an iPad…. what a steal!”

    Also, Jessie, you completely stole Gawker’s “swipe the screen and get a splinter” joke. You should be fired.
