  • Wow. You know you’re onto something when it strikes the nerves of people to the point that this has. I personally have been WAITING for Glenn to arrive at this point for a while. The point where he stops hoping/waiting/advocating for the government to change, or the “fight” to be over, or for “everyone else” to start changing the world-you know, like PROGRESSIVES do constantly-and actually MOVES ON with a vision and a goal to strive towards.

This is NOT a “theme park” or a “cult” or anything like it. Those who think it is, either weren’t paying attention, or don’t know Glenn, or are trolls. Good. Show us who you are so we can make sure not to waste any time on you. This is a living, breathing, experiment/laboratory on the grandest scale possible. A place where people who genuinely want to, can CREATE a society that lives and breathes traditions, history, facts, practical sense, individual responsibility and ACTION. It is the ULTIMATE goal of those who understand that where their treasure is, there is their heart also.

We will NEVER get back the America we used to have. But that we CAN and SHOULD begin to build the America that we WANT for the future. Finally! Let’s build something TANGIBLE that people can see and touch and experience that is REAL-instead of just whining and waiting around for “someone else” to get everyone on board and get er’ done. I’m with you Glenn. From the first brick to the last. BRING IT!

  • At first I said “Hire them. NOW”. THEN I did my homework on the station (backwards right?). I changed my mind. I posted the “facts” further down this thread and express my shame and stupidity now. :-)

  • Funny, reading up on the station’s history (before making snap judgements) produced the following facts:

*WVII has always been the underdog station in Bangor and finances are tightly controlled.
    *It’s an ABC affiliate.
*They don’t even HAVE a weather/meteorology department (their weather segment is pre taped elsewhere).
*It’s owned by an investment group from New York.

    BUT-http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/30/business/media/30warming.html

From the 2006 story alluded to-

“Mr. Palmer said he wanted no more stories broadcast on global warming because: “a) we do local news, b) the issue evolved from hard science into hard politics and c) despite what you may have heard from the mainstream media, this science is far from conclusive.” Mr. Palmer said in his e-mail message to his operations manager and two women who served as a news anchor and a reporter that he placed “global warming stories in the same category as ‘the killer African bee scare’ from the 1970s or, more recently, the Y2K scare when everyone’s computer was going to self-destruct.”

Ms. Michaels said she has been with the station for the past 6 years.

It might very well be that they are #3 in ratings BECAUSE Palmer has tried to keep the station neutral or right leaning in a growing liberal area and that he had two left leaning anchors who didn’t agree with that.

  • Hire them. NOW.

  • Is This a Picture of Mitt Romney Pumping His Own Gas?

    In reply to ethanstl1991.

That’s just it. The MSM tried to paint him as out of touch, elitist, spoiled, completely UN-relatable to the American people. When he’s photographed being a normal person doing normal people things-he is declared “tired and washed up”.

  • Is This a Picture of Mitt Romney Pumping His Own Gas?

    In reply to eddie333.

If this was a spontaneous sighting at a gas station, the pictures were most likely captured with cell phone cameras.

The first photo was also obviously taken while both Mitt and the person taking the photo were standing under bright florescent style lighting which isn’t ideal even with a good camera and lens, and neither photographer appears to have used a flash either- there’s no reflection of a flash in the rear view mirror or paint on Mitt’s car in the first or brighter lighting in the foreground of the second.

Both photo takers were obviously trying to “quickly” take his picture (point and shoot) and neither one of them had a high quality cell phone camera (obamaphones? LOL) Had it been someone who actually LIKED Romney, or at least respected him, they most likely would have greeted him and asked for a photo of him…or even WITH him.

  • Of course he looks tired! He’s had one hell of a year. He’s also not traveling with a makeup artist who airbrushes him into perfection every five minutes. Or a chauffeur who puts gas in his car for him. Or body guards ready to shove nosy photo takers out of the way or block their view.

He looks just like a regular 65 year old man who needed gas and had no problem actually doing it himself. He also apparently had no problem chatting with a complete stranger.

Odd though….the two photos seem to have been taken at approximately the same moment in time (while he was standing beside his filling car, hands in his pockets) and in one his **** is messed up and the colors are faded and in the other his **** looks perfectly in place and he doesn’t look “tired and washed up” at all. Perspective? Or Photoshop? Doesn’t really matter in the end anyway.

  • The woman doesn’t even know that peanuts are legumes and NOT related to “tree” nuts in any way! And she’s been awarded by the city for her “allergy” activism. Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh.

  • ILIKEPEOPLE-

Tithing is a percentage of your income/means/property/wealth.

Worship is different and God expects much more than 10%. The Sabbath Day was set aside as an entire day devoted to God, and that’s a little more than 14% of your time on top of 10% tithing. Then there’s the admonition to cry unto God continually, day and night…pray always, etc.

But if you want to be completely technical, the Lord indicated that a perfected servant would “sell all that he hath and come follow me”-devoting everything to the Lord. Time, possessions, heart and soul. When you reach that point, you let us know. Until then, perhaps you shouldn’t judge others in a manner you don’t wish to be judged against when the time comes.

  • I just HAD to post this link….it’s so much better than Obama’s Ad!!
