What we see in Venezuela is nothing unusual when government is revered as a god. The invisible hand of the free market has been chopped off with predictable results. It is about to happen in our republic(former) as well. You can just see the progressive socialist(democrats) making a full court press on all fronts. Most citizens don’t even realize what they are in for, as long as the entitlements keep coming, when they stop they will be perfect subjects of the all powerful state. The carrot and the stick analogy will become the stick alone. Pray for our country!

Bill McClellan is a fool. As a veteran and a member of the VFW and American Legion that participates in Honor Guard activities for deceased veterans, I Think I know of what I speak. The motto of the VFW is “To honor the dead by helping the living”. The motto of the American Legion is “For God and Country”. We are all volunteers in our detail and we receive a small stipend from the state that barely covers the cost of fuel, uniforms, blank ammo and meals. We perform in all weather, sweltering heat to driving rain and bitter cold. We do it out of a sense of duty and honor and the gratitude that we receive from the deceased families and friends. Mr McClellan I want you to know that “ALL GAVE SOME, SOME GAVE ALL”. Mr McClellan, you gave “NOTHING”!

Keatonc333: It is not about hunting and don’t try to control the narrative. “Shall not be infringed” means exactly what it says. I am a NRA life member and a hunter. I always take my time in aiming so as to not injure the quarry and have to track. One shot kills are the preferred way to bag game but they are not always possible. You know nothing about the meaning of the 2nd amendment or for the purpose of the NRA. Your lack of knowledge is abysmal and you should read up on the subject before making any comments that cannot be back up with facts. The 2nd amendment makes the 1st amendment possible.

Thank you Glenn for what you are attempting to do. As a b-boomer born in the 40′s and raised in the 50′s and 60′s I have witnessed the devolution of our great Republic. We have gone from self reliance into complete nanny state welfare incompetence. I remember my parents getting all of us kids ready for Sunday church services, shinning shoes, combing our hair, putting on our best duds (a tie around our neck), we looked sharp and felt good about ourselves. We were never perfect angels, but we always knew right from wrong. Now everything is moral relevance and always about (what is in it for me?), this is called selfishness. I am also a Vietnam veteran and can’t help but notice that the military is nothing but a politically correct social lab experiment, I liked it so much more when we knew that our mission was to wreak havoc on our enemies. Our justice system is nothing but an auction of favors that benefit the highest bidder, both civil and criminal. That past decade I have really noticed that our elections have turned into corruption personified. In other words, “We pretend we vote for the candidates and when they are elected, they pretend the represent us!” Glenn, you are not a lone voice in the wilderness, there are many of us and we will soon be heard loud and clear!

Another sign of our impending doom. Another pretty face seeking 15 minutes of fame. If I were an opposing NFL player I would treat the skirt like any other opponent, especially in the scrum. She would enjoy it immensely or hit the road. Call me a sexist if you want, it’s just that my testosterone allows me to think this way. Would there ever be a possibility that men would be allowed to compete in female team sports? What’s good for the goose is————!

Slowly but surely the mask is slipping off. Tyrants only take what the subjects allow them to take in the beginning. Little noticed at first, the tyrant gets more brazen as time goes on. The mainstream press was suppose to be in the tyrants back pocket. Thank God there are those that are finally waking up to the power plays of this tyrannical administration. Truth seeks its’ own level and it always has a way of exposing itself. All it takes is an incident which will require drastic measures for the tyrant to take off his mask completely. It will happen, it is in the genetics of this corrupt administration, they cannot help themselves. If you don’t have your eyes open yet, you soon will!

Please buy back my two index fingers. Growing up without always having a toy six shooter handy when playing cowboys and Indians fingers were a good substitute. They were just as accurate as the toy guns and never disobeyed their owner. How silly is political correctness becoming?
