My wife cares for severely disabled children in the school system. It can be heart-breaking, and awe-inspiring… often from one moment to the next. The love required and shown in these situations is one of the greatest testimonies I know of to the existence of God. Some of the comments found after this article make me shudder from their hatefulness. We all make mistakes, but some people are governed by love, some by hate. It’s not hard to tell the difference.

DB321 Believe it or not the Bible says the lawlessness is currently being restrained. That restrainer will be removed (soon, I believe) and it will get unimaginably worse. And the U.S. does not appear to be around when it all goes down. But that’s just the typical evangelical understanding of eschatology. We could be wrong. :)

Once again let’s remind the ignorant at best Michael Pfleger that guns are not the problem. Gangs are the problem. Poverty is not the problem. Entitlement mentality is the problem. Big government is not the solution. Repentance and submission to a Holy God is the solution. Sadly I have little hope for most cities in America and almost none for the world in general. God help me not lose all hope for them. Bring our arrogant leaders to their knees. Bring us all to our knees.

Not that it’s against the law, but what were they doing out in their yard at 1:00 am? My father always told me nothing good happens at 1:00 in the morning, except those working 3rd shift. I suspect there were plenty of 40s in paper bags at the very least. But I’m just commenting on what I see at 10:pm in certain neighborhoods.
