CORRECTION: The answer is July 16.
After Albert makes his initial statement, the months of May and June are eliminated, because each of those months has a unique date, namely 18 and 19, that would have given away the answer to Bernard right away making it impossible for Albert to be sure Bernard could not have the answer already. Bernard realizzes this just as we do.
Bernard now knows that the month revealed to Albert can only be July or August. Bernard announces that he knows the date. This eliminates July 14 and August 14, because they are ambiguous, leaving us with July 16, or August 15 or 17. Albert realizes this just as we do.
Albert’s statement that he now knows what Cheryl’s birthday can only be because Cheryl revealed July to be the month. Had she told him August, Albert couldn’t know whether the date was August 15 or 17.
Ergo July 16. “Not so elementary,Watson! Do hand me the syringe . . .”

OK, after downing a cup of Dark Roast, it all becomes clear. When Bernard says that he now knows the date, this reveals to Albert that “14″ is eliminated. Albert’s statement that he now knows can only then be true if he was told the month was July. Ergo, July 16
Thanx to Melo for the assist. I will take a brain break now. . .

. . . and I was so sure it was tapioca pudding.

There is no answer. The only possible solutions are July 16, August 15, or August 17. Albert’s statement that he now knows what Cheryl’s birthday is false — only Bernard knows Cheryl’s birthday because only Bernard knows whether the day is 15, 16, or 17. One of those is the answer, but there is not enough information to determine which one it is.
Whatever the reasons here l truly feel for that woman and her loss.

Arrogant. This guy thinks so much of himself. He could have just stayed home and not picked up the award, but he had to play the bigshot and pose a complete lack of civility as “integrity.” What a jerk.

Gun control is not about the guns, it’s about the control. Left wing idiots like Moore actually believe that if you remove self-protection from Whitey, then they will be so scared of the criminal masses that they will bow to any social program that will improve their conditions so they’ll be nice, because as we all know, crime in America is all Society’s (Whitey’s) fault. If only we would raise taxes, confiscate and redistribute private property, and raise teachers’ salaries and pensions, the criminal class would just leave us alone.

This story is fragmented and not developed enough. You are supposed to be good reporters, so you already have the police report. What’s it say? and then go from there.

What majority are you talking about little Liberal? Oh heck, we can give you a chance: So, tell us what education in business and economics do you have. How did you like Accounting? Say what?!!? “Manchin said he would urge Senate opponents to ‘read the bill and tell me what you don’t like.’” Hey! a-hole! How about you urge that AMERICAN PEOPLE to read the bill and tell you what you don’t like?
You post the bill on your website for all the sovereign people of these United States to take a look at it, and we render OUR decision, you little weasel.

Times Square? He should get an extra ten years for failing to target the Mayor’s mansion. . .

A lawsuit will be difficult. Justice Rhenquist and his crew did such a good job of eviscerating the Civil Rights Act that I doubt Dad will ever be able to get it to the jury stage.

Insightful commentary by Matthews yet again! Perhaps he should invite a blue ribbon panel of experts like maybe say, Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, and Prof. Kathy Boudin onto the show to tell us all about right-wing domestic terrorism.

What’s really perverse about this is the affected way she speaks, like an amateur actress, as though this is her 15 minutes of fame, her time in the limelight. Hell of a way to mourn your child.

Here’s a better line of conversation:
MATTHEWS: “Why do you suppose no one reads TIME anymore?”
KLEIN: “Uh, because of effete pseudo-intellectuals like me projecting my masculine insecurities upon the opposition?”
