Maybe they saw that article about the married couple that are thinking of seeking a divorce because it would be cheaper for them in long run?
“As a couple, Nona Willis Aronowitz, a freelance writer, and Aaron Cassara, who works in the film industry, earn more than $62,000 a year, the threshold to qualify for subsidies under the Affordable Care Act. If they divorce and instead choose to just live together, they would qualify for the subsidies and save hundreds of dollars a month.”

I think they’ve watched too much Breaking Bad & think they could succeed.
I also I believe alcohol mor so than pot to be a “gateway” drug, Or cigarettes…ever seen an alcoholic detox or someone triy to quick smoking cigarettes??? also “potheads” being worthless & unmotivated, I challenge some in this post to read up the effects of marijuana on people with cerebral palsy & other chronic diseases & pain…also the effects of people with adhd?? Ever seen someone detox & have withdrawals from prescription medication? Ever had a love one going through chemo & radiation not be able to hold a piece of bread down much less another “pill”? Give me a break.

I had two lab/chow mix sisters…Sugar & Spice loved them girls like family members & no telling how many times they protected us. It’s a shame Orlando will have to go to another home after he retires, but I guess if it were up to PETA there wouldn’t be any “work” dogs for the blind anyway.
We have a lab/chow mix. Maggie is 14 years old and still guards us. She sleeps at the entrance to our bedroom. When I get up for work, she moves to place herself between the door and my wife. When our grandchildren visit from Michigan, she sleeps in front of their bedroom door. Maggie has her priorities right. She will be leaving soon and I will miss her dreadfully.

Agreed, what I’d like to know is if they have any fingerprints from previous break ins? Just curious if anyone checked that as well. Say for instance if any matched up to Martin…

People are quick to judge someone that falls asleep in church. Did the preacher know if that person was a new parent and has lack of sleep, or maybe their child was sick and up all night? Maybe that person has 2 or 3 jobs & that’s probably the only time they recently that they’ve had a chance to sit & relax & maybe the preacher’s voice was monotoned & they nodded off. Maybe that person has a medical condition? Then to have a preacher tell me that I’m not worth 15 cents??? Who knows why this person couldn’t make it to church, maybe some of the reasons I just stated? Maybe they were out of town taking care of an elderly parent? (After the comment about marrying me, I definitely wouldn’t use him NOW)—Then the comments to the young video man…Wouldn’t you rather young people be spending time in a church than on the streets doing Lord knows what???—-I’m sorry but I wonder what’s in that bottle he sipped out of? I think he either needs to get off the medication he is on or get on some! THIS HAS BEEN MY 2 cents!
I call BS on YOU, JEANNIENC . How do you know the man sleeping hadn’t been out drinking all night when he had promised to come in and help serve donuts and coffee that morning? Maybe he always complained about the sermons and the preacher called him out because how can you criticize a sermon when you are sleeping? Maybe, maybe, maybe ------
How can you dare go around judging and speculating when you have no idea what is going on. How do you know what the attitude in the church is if you have never been there. Sure, there is a lot we don’t know from this story, but it’s not up to you to make up crap just to make yourself sound like someone who “cares for the poor victim”
Such a Liberal attitude like yours: always wanting to find fault without checking facts.
And That is My 2 cents
Rrflyer- the point is we don't know what these people have going on so you and the preacher shouldn't jump to conclusions. This is why it should be a private matter first. Jennie is right conservatives also jump to conclusions too often on this site and it drives me up a wall. Stop it!
I was very offended. The pastor's job is to preach the truth, not his truth but God's. Not worth 15 cents???? God thought he was worth everything since he sent his son to die for him. I think this guy has a bad case of God-syndrome.
JEANNIC First of all let me say that if Obama had a church, it would look like this, not the America hating one he claimed to belong to in Chicago, or the infidel hating one he actually belongs to out of Mecca.
Secondly, that preacher knows everyone in his congregation and many of their short comings, and spiritual needs. He, I think is trying to instill in them that the prayers of a disinterested Sunday morning church goer, reach no higher than the ceiling.
Incidentally, I'm not a church goer, and have never been baptized a Christian. God forgive me.
You know what your right, anybody should be able to go to sleep during any sermon ever without question.
I mean that's why you go to Church isn't it?
"You know what your right, anybody should be able to go to sleep during any sermon ever without question."
YEP. These are grown people at a voluntary event- not children. These things tend to take care of themselves. They get annoyed, dirty looks from other churchgoers, they get ribbed by others, their wives/girlfriends/boyfriends/family jumps on them. If they are making noise and disturbing the sermon nothing is to stop the pastor from stopping, walking over and whispering in the person's ear that they were sleeping and making noise and disturbing the sermon and suggest that maybe they need to leave the sanctuary and go lay down elsewhere so as not to disturb the sermon- kindly, lovingly. That alone would be humiliating enough.
They are there, they came for a reason and I'm betting it wasn't to purposely sleep- their heart is in the right place and that is a good thing.

I’m confused, I thought cops were at a house where someone had the music up loud…but listening to the interview sounds like it was the guy with the dog?? He was a good distance from the cops but did he really need to run his mouth like that? To me it doesn’t look like the dog lunged at the officer but just barking as if to say “what are you doing to my daddy?”…honestly why couldn’t the officer see that the dog could jump out of the window, plus why wouldn’t they tell the dude to call someone to come get the dog?? Were they going to leave an animal in a car in the summer? Too many questions, I’m sorry but hopefully they WILL use this as a teaching tool. Poor doggie, he was beautiful!
