  • No…that’s why you keep a dog in the house. They tend to be quite aggressive when the ‘pack’ is in danger.

  • Serikfox, the rules don’t seem unreasonable…but what power does it really give them? What do they consider a farm under this law? Do they now have a right to do a surprise inspection on your backyard lettuce? I don’t think anyone here is asking that question. VoteRight, is right, the are grabbing power. I need to read this law more in depth because I’m afraid that we may be handing the government the right to search our property because they see a tomato plant in the back yard…if they see it, they may have the right to inspect it. The article is right…illness outbreaks are bad for business and if people had any common sense they would just boycott the offending farm instead of trying to make life harder on all the others. BTW, where is the money coming from to enforce all these new regulations?!

  • Are Today’s Graduates Unemployable?

I graduated in 2010. I struggled in college. I’m a hands on learner, which isn’t good when schools are designed to shove you in a lecture hall for 90 minutes and expect you to spit back out whatever information they throw at you. I was excited to go to college because I thought it was a place where they would teach me to think. Memorization is not thinking. I was so happy to get into applied courses my junior year since they were the only thing that got me out with a decent GPA. We are no longer taught to think!! It’s more like an exercise at who can cheat the best and too bad I’I just don’t think it’s right. I am one of those ‘unfortunate’ college students who couldn’t find a job in this over-saturated market. I started a business and made one, but I wasn’t even Wal-mart material when I graduated! So, yes, I think that college graduates are grossly unprepared and we would be much better off returning to apprentice-based learning.

  • I am so sick of seeing these bans brought up. It’s a waste of time, energy, and tax dollars! Ladies and gentlemen, I hate to be the one to tell you this, but the proverbial horse is out of the barn on this issue. In fact, he’s jumped the fence and ran for greener pastures. There is absolutely no chance of getting him stabled any time soon…he just does not like you. I live in the mid-west and let me tell you how things are in the real world. Many of us hunt to feed our families all year long. Many of us have gun licenses and maintain our guns. If push came to shove many of us could build our own guns. If you ban guns you are only going to drive the market underground…which we have all seen how that hasn’t worked. Let me make this clear, you can tax us to death, you can take away most of our rights, but the simple reality is if you come for our guns you’ll have a civil war on your hands. I’m not saying that to cause a ruckus, I’m saying that because I know my neighbors.
