NDAA passed, and we all know Harry Reid well enough to know that he’s perfectly capable of blocking whatever he wants. They never wanted to block it. They merely told you they wanted to and put up a bunch of bluster to persuade people that they actually care about your rights when they actually are even worse than the people they oppose, which, frankly, is pretty scary, because the GOP ain’t exactly angels.

The problem is that the simpler you make the game the easier it is to win.

@NutterButter: So let me get this straight: you think what government does, with your tax money and the full authorization of the force of arms, is equivalent to what FOX NEWS, a private, for-profit news organization with no more right to use armaments or tax money than you do (and possibly less thanks to RICO laws, at least on the former), does? I love it when people just sit around complaining about how this media outlet is that or that media outlet is that. My absolute favorite newspaper, which actually has a left-wards leaning, was started out of an abandoned storefront in Fremont, Seattle, WA. It’s distributed for free, has a major readership, and has been going now for about 30 years. QUIT COMPLAINING AND START A NEWS STATION! And while you’re at it, use that logical perspective to kick some fascists out of Washington, DC!
