Ya know, the family putting their kids in the trunk is bad enough. But what get’s my goat are the comments from the woman recording the incident. Why is it that so many people in this country are illiterate? I can only imagine how English speaking foreigners think about our society when when listening to the woman on this recording or watching LOCAL TV interviews. So sad. End of rant.
This is a no brainer. Any time you can replace government with private it is a winner.

Holy Crap. I consider myself to be somewhat enlightened. I even read Fifty Shades of Gray with nary a blush. However, I couldn’t read this “poem” beyond a dozen lines down. Get rid of this teacher. Remove his teacher’s certificate and put him on the Sexual Predator’s list. Geesh.
Even though now, the majority of the nation would be for impeaching obama, the House Judiciary Committee doesn't have the balls to start proceedings, even though they have enough ammo.

As I have been reading these post I have been going nuts. The spelling quality of the posters here is abysmal. Where are these people educated? Perhaps it just doesn’t matter.

Come on Maji. If you can’t spell please use a dictionary. Performed is not spelled “preformed”, the word I believed you meant to be steal is not spelled “still”.

ModeratorMichele, filter or not you ought to allow his name.

Rather interesting. I have always enjoyed the “fresh” air smell during and after a rainstorm. Now I know I should grab a mask lest I be attached by some newly released nasty germ. Still like the sound of a rainstorm. I wonder if that is bad for me also.

I caught the heroine/heroin error also. Just goes to the state of journalism these days. I don’t know Billy Hallowell (the writer), but I bet he is younger and wasn’t paying attention in school. He certainly does not have an “old school” ethic. By the by, where is the editor? Do we still have those any more?

You are right. If this sad woman didn’t like this pattern she should not buy it.

The saddest part is that the driver, the one who caused the accident, survived with minor injuries. Karma didn’t work this time.
Sure it did. Karmatic justice means he now has to live with it all. I am one of those, so I know. Twenty-seven years ago, a young man died because of my actions and stupidity. I won't forgive myself nor let anyone else. I'll carry it to my grave and let God take the burden off me. No one else is allowed.
If you view that as sad, then I think you've lost your humanity. He was probably luck to survive. As fish stated, he now has to live with what his actions caused.
The driver and other front seat passenger probably had their seat belts on, the back seaters didn't. Little info here to determine "why". "Above the speed limit" is a convenient "file a charge" excuse, but means nothing here if not expanded on, as well as the type of crash and conditions that may determine why the back seat riders died but the front didn't.
Be careful when using Karma...Karma refers to learning and lessons gained through lives (yes, plural), where you are taught lessons of life within and between lives, where deeds both good and bad can follow you throughout your life and across incarnations so your soul learns what its like to experience the giving and receiving ends of your actions...whether good or evil. The concept of Karma is analogous to the implications of "do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

If I had a job available I would hire Ms.Lauten in a heartbeat.
Obama? Is that you posting? Talk about NO credentials - ALL HIDDEN from the world except for the totally FAKE Birth Certificate that was photo shopped about every line! Yea, YOU sure have cred - NOT!

These stupid “people” are everywhere. Ya know, I would happily pay more taxes to buy them all a one way ticket back to Africa. Give them 1000 acres, two pigs and a chicken…plus one last EBT card and be done with them.
I have nothing but pride for the two gals who made the pact to honor Lillian. Wonderful. One more comment regarding pride: This is Texas. Good job.

Cosette, you have my vote on this plan.

Don’t forget the EPA police stopped by to cite the family for owning an older, carbon monoxide emitting lawnmower. They wanted to set an example for all. We MUST purchase light bulbs, gas grills and lawnmowers approved by our meddling government.
