As ex-law enforcement all of this rhetoric about fear of other Americans is nuts. I live in a very safe area, that being said, I just enjoy sending lead at targets that are bought in stores. All of these people saying that they are getting guns for protection put so many safety rules in effect for themselves that a would be robber would be long gone before they got it out of their safe, found the right ammo and take off the safety mechanism. Shooting is a great sport. When a police officer knows he is going into a bad situation. He does not have a sporting rifle in his hand, he has a shotgun. The best close weapon ever made.

I guess we should try stealing, adultey or even following false gods for a year as “just an experiment.” We could gain a new understanding about those things also. I know there are social stigmas attached with being gay. A young man that is almost like a son ” came out ” last year to his family and friends, also he is dating a married man. We have talked and as of now I truly do not understand the attraction but God is working on me about that. But breaking up another family gives me pause.

1 Peter 3:13-17 (NIV)

17 It is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

Attacking the attacker is not our job. I truly hope that man can find the love of Christ before it is to late..
