From the Lord’s Prayer..”May your rod and your staff comfort you.” A sword was too expensive, the rod and the staff was the poor majorities weapon/tool of choice that they could afford. The gun is the modern version of the rod and staff and maybe the sling shot.
Your reference comes fro the 23rd psalm, not the Lord's Prayer. Just thought if yoh are going to use s ripture, it ought to be the right one. The Lord's Prayer is found in Matthew 6:9-13 @nd in Luke 11:2-4
The rod was also a means of finding lost things and water D&C 8:6 Now this is not all thy gift; for you have another gift, which is the gift of Aaron; behold, it has told you many things;
Behold, there is no other power, save the power of God, that can cause this gift of Aaron to be with you.
Therefore, doubt not, for it is the gift of God; and you shall hold it in your hands, and do marvelous works; and no power shall be able to take it away out of your hands, for it is the work of God.

Where were the Christians when the Supreme Court was hearing arguments? I saw a peaceful demonstration on TV by supporters from the Homosexual community but I saw no Christians with signs, appearing in font of the media, in support of historical marriage. Oh, that’s right, Christians don’t protest anything in public.
Christians have to work at real jobs, and are not free to run around as full time protestors.

Churches don’t work together, they don’t talk to each other, “The Other Group is Wrong, we’re the right ones.” If you can’t fellowship with a neighbor church how can you attract new people to Christ? Instead of agreeing on the 90% you have in common you reject because of the 10% you don’t agree on. Here I am, preaching to the choir but they are part of the problem.
Every faith thinks it's the "one true faith." I "know" that my Church is the "One True Faith," and all the others are "wrong." Until we get past that, we may never come together.

Boring is indeed a problem. For the majority of churches, the worship has not changed in a hundred years. I don’t mean the substance but the procedure, the ritual is a problem. It’s a procedure started by men, not God. It’s like, “well we have always conducted service is way, It was done this way when I was a boy, etc.” The young people are shuttled off by themselves or have limited opportunity to participate, the singing often is old fashioned as well as the music. Some churches don’t even allow instrument music, the ones with the fewest young people attending. It must come down to the Elders and Deacons in the church. If they are out of touch, the congregation will be out of touch or in decline.

So..in Chicago for just one example, instead on having some twenty young Black men killed a week, it would soon be two hundred. Liberal logic is speculator.

Now that’s funny. I’m seen a report given using standard benefit payments for everything a dependent family can earn from the government. To include food stamps, healthcare, education, aid to children, special needs etc. and across the board the total government paycheck’s added up to some $80,000.00 per year. So a single mom with children or a couple with children are going to get off substance and get a job, if they can find one, that perhaps pays half that for a couple or a third or less for a single mom. Now what would you do? For most people it’s an easy answer. Stay on the Government Plantation and vote Democrat to keep the system in place. Shame on you Obama you know this.

Who in the Hell sits around thinking these things up?
And, the moderate mooslims like Zudhi Jasser (who i have respect for) who publicly speak out against the proactive violent jihadists who are enforcing the ideology's tenets, are considered as being more in the realm of being apostate than orthodox believing mooslims.
All the pacifists that claim we could more easily save ourselves by not ever offending muslim extremists are completely right. I'm also sure the Jews would have solved the Nazis' problem with them by avoiding offending the Nazis. I'm sure that would have worked out swell.

To many churches have stood silently by wringing their hands and doing nothing. The most apathetic and spineless is an embarrassment to our faith, our country and to our Lord.

It’s impossible for a Progressive. Liberal, Democrat, Communist to ever admit they are wrong. Their very being, their religion, their whole purpose in life is tied up in that belief. If they admitted to failure it would mean their work, their life has failed.
