  Go ask the guy in New Jersey who had his firearms removed from his house when his kid allegedly made comments about another student about government oppression.

  Gov. Malloy is the whack-job. There are background checks already in place across the country and to suggest otherwise is a complete lie. All they want to do is make it harder for law-abiding citizens to purchase firearms.

  As far as the 92% number they throw around, it is a complete myth. They site one poll done on 1000 people and think it applies to the 300+ million americans in the country. The poll was probably done in urban areas where gun ownership is next to nothing. Poll rural America and see what the numbers are.

  He also blames the gun companies for scaring people into buying ammo and guns, when it is him and his liberal crew that are the ones driving people to the gun stores every time they go after our second amendment rights.

  I wonder if Ms. Giffords realizes that if these new background checks are passed, her and her husband will have to give up their second amendment rights because of her mental condition. She suffered brain damage and if the law is passed as it is currently written, she would not qualify to own or be in the same residence as firearms.

  I’m sure with her political connections that she would be exempted unlike the rest of us pee-ons. And by the way, if a person is a law-abiding citizen it shouldn’t take long to do a background check. Her husband had top-secret clearance and a clean record so how long should it take to clear him.

  Celebrate people of Connecticut, your state will now be free of all crime. You can now keep your doors open at night, keep your keys in your unlocked car, and no need to have police or even jails anymore because this new legislation has now ridden your state of all crimes and criminals.
  What, you don’t believe this paragraph? Well you shouldn’t. If the lawmakers think any of this bull***t legislation is going to stop one gang member, thug, or mentally deranged person from committing another crime with a gun, they belong in a mental hospital.
  All this is going to do is make law-abiding citizens into felons. And once they know who owns what firearm and magazine they will take them away as fast as you can say communist.
