  I miss those old hymns so much! So many times when I’ve been hurting, afraid, or troubled I’ve sung those songs as soon as I could get alone. I can’t begin to measure the great comfort and peace they’ve brought to me over the years. When I go to church I miss them SO much. The contemporary stuff leaves me cold. They are a balm to my heart and peace and joy to a troubled mind. They strengthen my faith and give me hope. They bring me near to God in my heart. I’m so thankful for all the years I spent in church as a child. Those hymns are a precious gift. If I can find a church that sings those old hymns from their hearts I’ll never leave.
