  I would urge you to look up mosiah 21-24, look at the difference between Limhi and Alma. Talk to your bishop about these things. Look at the early history of the church how the saints were persecuted. What happened every time they would “rise up in anger” as opposed to following the counsel of their leaders? Also study D&C 98:23-46 to see what the Lord has said regarding this exact thing you’re talking about. Search the scriptures for answers. For contrarianthinker, think about this before you post next time: D&C 63:64 -”Remember that that which cometh from above is sacred, and must be spoken with care, and by constraint of the Spirit; and in this there is no condemnation, and ye receive the Spirit through prayer; wherefore, without this there remaineth condemnation.”

  ok mary, we’ll go ahead and add your interpretation of the Bible to the millions of other different ones. and what gives you the authority to interpret the Bible? At least Joseph Smith claimed authority from God through the proper channel. You’re quick to put down our religion but pretty slow to offer up anything you have. And last i checked, the name of the church was The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints, led by Jesus Christ through prophets and apostles. Joseph Smith played the same role as prophets before him. So I’m curious to hear your argument against people that don’t regard the Bible as the word of God so I can tell you the same thing regarding the Book of Mormon.   you guys are getting a little over the top here. england sent over armed troops and we raised arms to defend ourselves and our freedoms. who are you being physically threatened by that you need a violent uprising? sit and picture how that would work out. the reason were in this mess is because we vote for idiots, its our fault but were starting to realize it. get real guys

She never said she’d lie to the nazis, she said she believed that God would provide a way for her to do the right thing. Kinda different from what your saying. Progressives have found that voting amendments in to try and change the constitution is a lot harder than just voting crappy justices who’ll “interpret” the constitution how they see fit. Take prohibition as an example. Once people saw how silly it was, we were able to repeal it.
