  Get CCI Mini Mags, if you can find them. I’ve been using them for 40 years and have found them to be the most reliable .22 ammo I’ve used. I just finished some I got for $1.99 about 20 years ago and they performed great. I have some Remington, Federal, Winchester, and CCI now. The CCI ammo always works in my semi-auto 22s, everything from a 1949 Stevens to a Ruger 10/22 to S&W M&P15-22 and 22A pistol. The other brands will not properly cycle in at least one of them.

  I like my 10/22 but it has limitations. It would likely take several hits to drop a person unless it’s a head shot. Head shots are not always easy. They might be behind cover or moving so you would then go for body mass, and have to hit several times. A .22 won’t drop an animal of any size unless you can hit it in the eyeball or through the ear and into the brain. If you can have only one gun get a pump action shotgun. (Don’t listen to Joe the Village Idiot about a double barrel.) You can shoot birds with small shot, and people or large animals with buckshot or slugs. A one ounce bullet (slug) will stop almost anything at 100 yards.

  Suppose you and your family are being threatened by some thug (or an out of control government agency). They pull guns out and start shooting at you, so you grab your gun to defend yourself and it won’t work. It has already disabled it remotely. You aren’t putting that $hit on my guns.

  It could be worse, and is, in inland California. A big earthquake that split L.A. and S.F. into the Pacific would be a horrible event, but I can also see a silver lining to that event. Most of the lib whack jobs would be gone and we could have beach front property.

  Since I reload my semi-auto pistols in 1.5 – 2 seconds, and my revolver in 4-5 seconds, and I know people that can do it faster than I can, as usual, Feinstein is full of crap.

  Also, isn’t what they used to call “shell shock” the term used for PTSD in WW I & WW II?
