If you played on a football team and a Muslim teammate was killed, would you be ok about wearing a muslim star and crescent in his honor? If the answer is no, then please explain how it is not hypocritical to get angry that the cross was removed.
If the team wanted to honor this particular player and chose to do so then that is their choice and I would have no problem with it.

Just as the players on this team chose to honor their fallen comrades in this way which seems to offend atheists. Doesn’t matter to them that their determination to oppress the players choice might be offensive to them.

People should get over the hate and let people be free.

Why do you think I believe in nothing? I don’t need a God to enjoy life, to believe in the wonder of the world. To know love, pain and treat others with respect. No God is required to enjoy life. My life became 100% better after I left religion behind and became an atheist
It is good that you became a better person when you chose to leave religion behind. I fully support your right to your life style. I do find it sad that in your transformation that you have chosen to deny others their chosen beliefs.

If you have so much faith, why do you need to shove it down my throat and the throat of everyone else that doesn’t follow your religion? You think you are special, you think your God is the only one when there are over 8000 known God’s that man has worshiped but you think you have the right answer
If the players were the ones that wanted to honor these two people in this way how do you see it as forcing something down your throat. It appears that you are the one doing the forcing.

You take the position that you prefer forcing the team to abscond to your preferences and not giving them the opportunity to show their support to the fallen comrades.

In todays world every interview is set up for the sole purpose to generate some sort of controversy.
The questions are always about 1 of the 3 main topics. Race, Religion or Sexual Preference. If the
person gives the wrong answer then that individual will be the featured headlines for the next few

I understand that if a person has a new book out that they want the exposure but why would anyone in
todays world want to be interviewed by todays media. The theme of today is not to provide interesting
content but solely designed to generate some type of controversy.

It has become sickening to me!

Wow John, glad that you are so concerned about a persons well being. With all the problems that America is facing in these trying times it is good to know that you are so concerned about the fate of a convicted killer.

I wonder if you are as concerned about the fate of this USMC Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi and his well being as you are about this convicted killer.

I am aware that you are familiar with what torture is like considering your experience as a captured prisoner of war in Vietnam. That was over 40 years ago and you have spent the rest of your life as a US Senator and have been corrupted with a sense of entitlement ever since.

It is time for you to just go away.

So this Administration has determined that these people are now refugees and wants to protect them from gang violence. So glad that we don’t have gang violence here in our large cities.

Just because a person disagrees with a certain lifestyle does not mean they have hate in their heart or a bigot.

As for the Tea Party, it is made up with all types of people that only want to be free and have less government involved in our lives. It seems you need to be coddled and cared for by the Federal Government.

I prefer less government control not more. It those beliefs make me and others a societal undesirable then so be it. Good to know what you and your ilk think of those with different ideals than yours are.

I do not think this Administration is incompetent. They just hate America and are doing exactly as they please.

The link is imbedded in the article. KVIA-TV is in red letters. Not much more information there but it is where I was able to find about the detained Mexican Police being released. The other link to KFOX is not working it seems.

  • [2] July 24, 2014 at 9:16pm

I went to the KVIA-TV site to see if I could find out more detail about this incident. A U.S. Border Patrol Spokesman stated that the 3 detained Mexican Police were released and that the wounded Police Officer and the wounded girl remain in the Hospital.

From his statement it seems that both of the wounded are in an American Hospital. I really don’t know. It seems that the “Who, Where and What” are no longer relevant. The rush to get something out by this new generation of News Reporting leaves a lot to be desired.

Never mind. There are no longer any real news reporters. All that matters is to get something out that will generate clicks to the site and the higher the count the more revenue they will make.

This is getting so old. I will stop my rant now.

Reading the headline and the article where Reba states that the idea came to her last year I was expecting a heartfelt song for some reason. A little over 4 minutes of repeating the same 3 words did not inspire me so much.

There are a few lines to pray for your family and our leaders. I already do that each night. It is hard to be critical when all a person is doing is sending a message of peace through prayer. I just think the buildup to the song was a little over done.

I do not blame the driver for being concerned about the possibility of being shot. The driver behind that failed to watch the driver in front of them is another matter. I have read about people that deliberately cause accidents for insurance purposes.

I recall driving on I-10 once when a car ahead of me was driving slow. I changed lanes to pass when that car pulled over in front of me and hit his brakes. It just so happens that I was being alert and was able to swerve back to the other lane and avoid crashing into that drives rear end.

It can be easy to have and accident if you are not paying attention to your surroundings. Always leave enough room in front of you to be able to take corrective action.

All that matters to the Democrats is there vote.

  • [20] July 11, 2014 at 11:37pm

Pres. Obama wants his vote so he will never serve time in jail.

From my experiences with law enforcement I find that the Highway Patrol and County Sheriff Deputies seem to be a little more professional in handling their duties. I recall driving down a busy 4 lane and watching 2 City Cops on a Motorcycle as they braked for a light and I got absorbed in watching their brake lights going on and off until I found myself running the red light behind them.

They pulled me over and this one cop came up to me shaking. He was so nervous that he was stuttering. Then he made a derogatory remark about my cigarette. I just told him that he had no right to talk to me that way and just give me my ticket. The way his hands were twitching around his weapon I made sure that I was in a position to kick him if he reached for his weapon.

The poor fellow wanted to write me a ticket but after he went to the saddle bags on his motorcycle he discovered that he didn’t have a ticket book. So he was unable to write me a ticket for running a red light.

I will admit that I would hate the idea of every time I do my job and have to make an arrest that there are scores of people filming and recording everything that you do. The camera doesn’t always capture the full reality of a situation when an arresting officer has to become physical.

I will also admit that this officer was out of line for going onto a persons property and demanding their phone. All charges should be dropped against this family and the officer in this instance should be the one charged with assault.

Too each his own. I am not impressed. Who knows what goes through peoples mind. If it was just to make a memory and to impress his fiancé then that is fine. If it was a stunt to gain publicity then I fail to understand why proposing to your loved one on a public stage is that romantic.

Loving someone and wanting that person to be part of your life should be shared with relatives and close friends. If the stunt was to gain public attention then that is another matter.

Of course the world is full of varying personalities so what do I know.

Ken Salazar in his own words speaking at the Power Shift 2009 Conference claims that he is speaking on behalf of Pres. Obama. The words in this video are very clear. He states that we are one world and one people and tells the audience that very clearly and receives a very loud applause.

    From the article: ‘

‘“During an interview with Justin, he stated that he recently researched, through the Internet, child deaths inside vehicles and what temperature it needs to be for that to occur,” according to a sworn statement in the warrant from a police officer. “Justin stated that he was fearful that this could happen.
I wonder why anyone would need to research how long it would take for a child or favorite pet to succumb to heat!!

Well I admit that one time I left my Granddaughters in my vehicle. I had to get one item and they told me that they would wait in the truck. I left it running and left the AC running as I took 2 minutes to run inside and pick up the item.

I admit that they were not completely grown up at the time. The oldest at the time was 13 and the next oldest was only 12 and their two sisters was 7 and 8.

Other than that one time I have always made sure that they come with me when I go inside of a store.
