  Off topic here, but the male seahorse does not get pregnant. The female gives the male her eggs, which he fertilizes and carries in his pouch until they are born. Same goes for the pipe fish which are in the same family as the seahorse. See, you learn something new everyday.

  Someone summed it up perfectly, or better than I could – This is not something I suggest saying to a woman who has had a miscarriage, rather it is a question I pose to someone who says abortion isn’t killing a baby (someone pro-choice). I ask them if they would therefore tell a woman who has had a miscarriage that it wasn’t a baby in her womb, just a bunch of tissue. Of course, no one would really say that to a grieving woman because everyone knows deep down that it is, in fact, a baby, the woman has lost.

  Not sure if anyone has noticed, but the image they are using of Jesus is from Easter, well before Easter when Jesus is crucified. We celebrate Christmas because of the birth of Christ so the image they have does not apply to Christmas. If they are going to mock religion, at least get the holidays and images right.

  I like how they had to give you the definition of what a virgin is, Is it that ancient of a term that people need a definition to know what it means? Or am I missing something here?

  We were spared this time in Farmers Branch, at least from this storm. We’ve had softball size hail bust through all six of our skylights, which have a double layer of plexiglass. That was scary. Prayers to everyone else.

  D&C’s are typically performed when the baby has died early on. And yes it is a medical procedure. It is similar to an abortion, just under anesthesia and the baby is already deceased. I unfortunately had one with my first miscarriage. Worst feeling in the world, even though I knew our baby had died. With my other losses, I chose to take antibiotics to make sure there would be no risk of infection.
