  • I, for years, thought that Harry Reid was, at best, a Jack Mormon. At worst, an ex-mormon. I don’t see how a member of a church that values life and freedom more than any other could be so supportive of abortion and dependence.

Harry Reid, you have sullied your religion. You’ve sold your soul for power, you bear false witness without regret, and you support the slaughter of the unborn. Some Mormon you are.

  • Actually, with proper locks, roll-down windows in emergency situations would be a good idea to prevent suffocation in case of fire. Not user-controlled, mind you, but the control and sensor design necessary would not be difficult to produce.

I also find it sad and petty that the media is so giddy over a “gaffe” of a contender yet completely silent on the deadly blunders of the current president.

  • Kanko’s two cents:

Adam is completely, 100% right in every word he said. Mike Rowe explained virtually the same thing with his letter to Romney. The only reason I have a job starting in a couple weeks is that I decided to deviate from the normal “submit resume and wait” game and instead contacted my potential future employer directly and asked for a job. The job I procured did not exist prior to me asking for it. Therefore, if you can’t get work by sending resume after resume (like the millions of others in your situation), do the hard thing and cut your own path. Or, don’t bother with college and become an apprentice.

There’s lots more Obamacare outside in my van…will you help me find my lost puppy, little girl?

  • It would be nice to see some MSM parrots crap their pants on the air when the see the 30% donated to charity (Mitt is sooooooo greedy), but we all know they will ignore that and focus on the 14%, as if the legally-determined rate is somehow evil. Hopefully the people will see through the smokescreen.

  • Truth can be hard to accept. Truth can be uncomfortable to see. But truth is never controversial; that distinction is reserved solely for lies.

Nothing stated in the full context of this video is untrue. Sure, it may be harsh. Yeah, there probably was a nicer way to say it. But lies? None. The large portion of our country that is now dependent on government in some way or another is generally there through no fault of their own. Rather, they have been legislated and “nudged” into dependency. Today I had a conversation with my friend about the nature of humans to acquiesce to their surroundings so as to survive utilizing as little energy as possible. If a human being is given assistance for long enough, that human becomes dependent on that assistance since the energy originally required to survive has been reduced. Remeber: dependence is antithetical to liberty.

Politically speaking, when a government enacts a program of assistance, said program becomes an enabling device over time. In other words, prior to the program a problem exists that is good to avoid (for example, single mothers). Post program, it becomes easier to live with the problem (single mother can raise children without issue). As an unintended result, the problem propagates (more single mothers look to government rather than traditional family solutions, and deadbeat dads get off the hook easier). After a generation, the problem is now institutionalized, and cannot be evicted without suffering.

Ooh, a grammar Nazi! Based on the incoherence of your responses I venture that it is you that needs an education. Typos are a regular occurrence, and pouncing on one neither makes one intelligent or convincing in their arguments – it is simply a means of distracting from the actual topic at hand. I applaud your effort, however.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to resume my work with the letter A.

  • Since there are parts of Michigan that are north of Canada, I will recant my snark.

But seriously, you’re reply was seriously lacking in…everything.

  • WHAT A RESPONSE! Pointing out the obvious truth is now psychosis. I take it you’ll tell me I need to head south to get to Canada.

  • You’re a disgusting person, but at least you’re consistent.
