  • On second thought, and after closer inspection, the clam-shell ends of the hangars facing northwest are quite possibly the rear end of the hangar, with larger sliding doors facing south and the “runway”. An explanation as to the condition of the runway is made easier when you examine the site and realize that this is very likely an active construction area. The shipping containers are likely material storage and expat housing. The only thing that this new theory brings to question is why is there such a lack of activity? If this theory is true, the hangars were never completed as observed by one of them missing a rear panel. Wouldn’t you expect to see more than a couple vehicles and semi-trucks? Wouldn’t you expect to see a more suiting infrastructure for such a large project?

  • I am pretty sure this is not a “drone base” or any other kind of air base. First, look at the runway. Zoom in and you can see that this is not a reasonable runway, even for a desert. Second, look at the positioning of the hangers. The clam shell doors open to the Northwest, whereas the “runway” is to the south. Also, there is no reasonable taxi-way for the aircraft to access the runway from the hanger bay doors. This observation only adds to the mystery, but I feel pretty certain about this. Drones are very large aircraft and need reasonable taxi clearance to move about.

  • It’s not the caliber of the gun, but the TYPE of round, of course some some extent. A 22 isn’t going to do much, but a 9 or a 38 should cause catastrophic damage if the proper round is used. Self defense rounds will be the most effective at stopping any assailant from getting away and possibly hurting you or someone else.

  • I sure hope they have self defense insurance. The hoodlum that got lucky will surely sue them. Gotta keep self defense rounds in your gun or you run the risk of them walking away like this guy.

  • HAH! Good catch…..top to bottom before left to right for each octet.

  • @22AUTOMATIC: Absolutely the funniest thing I have ever seen.

  • Don’t most lie detection techniques, physical or not, rely on some sort of baseline data? For example, they need audio of the candidates saying something that is known to be undeniably true? Well, how will that work? It’s hard to set a baseline on a compulsive liar. Heck, Obama can’t even say “My name is Barack Obama” without it being entirely true!

  • Drugs destroy lives.

  • I posted earlier about some of the oddities of the region, but want to add some more observations that really intrigue me.

First of all if you look at google maps and grab the street view guy, you will see there are some pictures from the area, but not right on the strange configurations . The region is freaky wierd. I am not sure it is natual.

Also look just SW of the first picture on google maps. It looks like a power substation, but there is a critical component missing: transformers. Some people mentioned the possibility of HAARP. That kind of looks like an array to me!

  • There is clearly flood damage. But there are a few things to ponder regarding the first picture:
    1. There is another similar light brown configuration further to the west of the airport(s).
    2. There are, in fact, multiple airfields, with no airport facilities
    3. Flooding appears as if it could have been extensive/catastrophic as there are no buildings remaining standing and the airfields appear to be covered in mud from washout.
    4. If this is flooding, there is no apparent cause. There are no tributaries or large lakes nearby.
    5. The runways are of the largest/longest in existence. Comparable to commercial airfields in the US for jumbos. What could such large runways really service in such isolation?
    6. I am not convinced those are blue tarps. The BIRGHT blue to the northwest of the airfield farthest east seems to bleed onto the surrounding landscape, like this is an altered photo.
    7. Each band of the configuration(s) are around 75 feed wide. Much larger than a foot path or even an encampment. Also, look closely, as it appears as if the “flodding” has also affected the strange patern.

All in all this is strange, but it is hard to guess with what we know here.
