I’m OK with vets calling out people pretending to be vets. But how about this? Suppose I put on a set of plain ole fatigues, because I am going to go play paintball. No patches, insignias, or anything, just camo pants and jacket? Not begging or misrepresenting, just wearing camo. Is that the sort of thing a vet is going to get indignant about? Not that I’m actually planning on doing this, just curious.
Its not a problem at all. The problem comes when you wear patches or medals and haven't earned them. When you claim to have been there and done that when in reality you haven't. That's why it's STOLEN Valor.
No problem at all wearing cammies for paintball. I’ve given a few sets to my teenage relatives for that very purpose. I just remove the patches that have my name and U.S. Marines on them. Those have to be earned, in my opinion.
Exactly what I was wondering. Vets I have spoken to say most patches on the arms do not make it a "uniform."
The guy 2 months or so ago which had a name on the front, and US patch, and medals on his breast, etc - that's a uniform and I'm fine with some hulk like this ripping it off of him.
But just the camo... there was no evidence of any names, insignia, medals, etc on the front or back, just an ROTC patch on the shoulder - that is NOT a uniform.
This droid maxx went way overboard.
Again from what I've been told it's NOT a uniform.

Agreed, it is without a doubt the most polluted P.O.S. web site I visit. BUT, if you’re using Firefox, there is a default setting for Flash, I don’t recall exactly, but it is something like “secure mode”. Whatever it is, you can do a search to find out, it is easy to defeat, and after that the videos play much, much better.
I almost stopped coming to this site because it worked so poorly, but it is better now.

I can answer that for you. Cops have a way of losing and/or ignoring evidence. I know this from first-hand experience (with a dashcam, no less). Better to go home and make a copy, and submit it later. A simple assault case will wait. If they were looking for a child abductor or something, different case, of course.

Wise County, Where? Remember the five W’s of journalism, Who What Where When, and Why? Sheesh…
Of course at the end I was clued in by the reference to the news station that this was the Dallas/Fort Worth area. But any website (including newspapers, TV, and radio stations should keep in mind that people from all over the WORLD are viewing their content. Fill in the blanks, please!
Kel, the first picture is your clue to where it took place, or did you not see the Texas flag?
Kel, Actually, it's four W's and an H of journalism...who, what, where, when, and how. Too often there is no good "why" for many crimes other than someone losing their mind, and often the why is never adequately explained.

The plane was taxing on the runway? I’ll bet! Those planes are HEAVY!

Hmmm, the same Samuel L. Jackson who played a racist cop in “Lakeview Terrace”?:
Not really. A squeegie doesn't have enough mass to really be dangerous. Unless someone just happened to be looking up and got hit directly in the eye or something then a squeegie isn't going to pose any real danger.
ANYthing falling at terminal velocity is capable of causing injury. For a squeegee to work, it has to be a lot more than a thin piece of rubber. I have never met a squeegee that I would want dropped on my head from the roof of my one story home, much less 20 to 120 stories!

The cops had PLENTY of time to deal with the dog in a different manner. They should have had pepper spray ready to go before the dog even got close. Going straight to guns was an extreme overreaction, and if any of us non-LEOs did that we’d be behind bars.
Spray, baton, taser, geez, come on…

Uh, “grisly”, maybe?

How many prisoners are on Death Row right now? Swap them in, use their old locations for the ones at risk for Valley Fever.

Let me see if I have this right; Biden, and now Clinton feel that rather than having a gun that shoots one .223 caliber round per trigger pull, you should have a gun that shoots nine .32 caliber rounds per trigger pull. Got it.

Drag a strong magnet across the stripe on your license. Problem solved.
...or Phased. Look it up Einstein, Mr. Professor of the English language. Another wasted post from the spelling/grammar police!! #numbnuts
I looked it up and "Fazed" is more accurate than "Phased" as fazed refers to discomfort while phased refers to a change of stages.
You can make the deduction through the definitions or find several articles discussing the difference between the two terms.
Actually from his cool mellow demeanor I think he had a few adult beverages to get the courage to go into that neighborhood and was 'faced'.
