II Timothy 3:1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3. without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4. treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God – 5. having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them. (NIV) What this man did was pure evil, regardless of whether he was an Atheist, Christian or no religious affiliation at all. I doubt seriously whether this was as a result of an argument over parking spaces. He most likely is mentally unstable and should spend the rest of his life in a mental institution or prison.

Romans 1:18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools (NIV) I feel sorry for Atheists, they do not believe in Heaven, Hell or God. When they die they think they are buried just like any other animal; that does not have a soul. Well they are wrong. We do have a soul and upon death your soul goes up to the living God that you do not believe in. Unbelief is the easiest way for a person to be condemned to hell. To spend eternity apart from God will be a living Hell. I pray that ALL Atheists will come to believe in God and His Son Jesus Christ. I want them to spend eternity in Heaven.

Cosmo2 Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. (NIV) Islam is a false religion created by a false prophet.

Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. (NIV) I do not have a problem with “Critical Thinking” Our children should learn to think for themselves and not be afraid to ask questions. Science is wonderful, many great things have been developed and discovered as a result of science. I am a Southern Baptist myself. I believe in heaven, hell, eternal life, God, sin, judgement, and many other things you never will learn in a science class or a “Better News Club.” I would rather have my children learn things that will help them along in life, learn about morality and the sinful nature of mankind. How to get along with others, have respect for others and their property. Learn about Gods’ laws and mans’ laws. You will not learn how to love one another in a science class. I feel sorry for Atheists, they have no hope. They do not believe in God, heaven, hell or everlasting life. When they die they believe that’s it, just like any other animal. Well they are wrong, when they die, they have a soul and it goes to God upon death. Our soul is eternal and God will decide where our soul will go – heaven or hell. I want my children and grandchildren to learn of these things. I want to see them in heaven. So as you can see I am all for the “Good News Club.”
"and many other things you never will learn in a science class or a “Better News Club.”
You will not 'learn' any of those things you mentioned, learning implies that those things are actually real and can be proven.
And atheists have hope about many things, we just don't pin them on a sky genie.
@ken......don't mean to pop your bubble, but what you believe is not correct . Heaven or hell is not are destination. your not going to see anyone in heaven or hell. gain some knowledge and actually read the bible

@anothercomment – Thank you for clarifying why Pastor Saeed is in prison. He was only trying to help War Orphans! I guess the Iranian government was afraid that he might convert these little children to Christianity! Pastor Saeed is a political pawn and will most likely have to serve the six year sentence if he should live that long. I too have been praying for him and his family. I know it must be hard for his children and wife to spend yet another Christmas without him being there.

flyguync Matthew 4:6 and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: He shall give His angels charge over you. and, In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.” This is the scripture you are thinking of. Satan was quoting Psalm 91:11 & 12.

All “Believers” are saints. They do not have to be dead to be a saint.

The Sergeant At Arms got a well deserved standing ovation. He is a Hero and deserves such recognition. I hope that the Muslim coward rots in Hell. It doesn’t take any guts to gun down unarmed citizens. I agree, the Military – the US and Canadian should be allowed to carry Loaded Firearms at all times. They do it in Israel, why can’t they do it here? I believe it would prevent the unwarranted killing of innocent people. I support concealed/carry for US Citizens and do not like “Gun Free” zones, it just makes it easier for wacko’s and nut jobs to do harm to others.
Brian Houston’s father, Frank was outed as a paedophile homosexual.
‘You never forget the moment you find out your dad’s a paedophile’: Hillsong’s Brian Houston tells of the ‘devastating’ 10 seconds when he realised his father, Frank, was a paedophile’
That fact alone should tell you all you need to know about Brian’s reluctance to give God’s view. That is also the reason he should immediately stand aside and let a man of God lead the church.
Not gonna happen is it? Dollars rule.

Your not even old yet. I retired from the US Army 26 years ago and I thank God for that. I was treated really good most of the time and enjoyed what I was doing. Been to Nam twice and still have most of my marbles left. Choosing a branch of the military is something every young man or woman should do. I know what it is like getting up at 0 Dark Thirty and it never hurt me. Now that I am older I stay up late, get up early and take naps in between. Burning Midnight Oil = Burn Out. I thank everyone for their service and I pray for those still on active duty.

@Keres “No one has special knowledge.” Please read in the Bible that you don’t believe in any more: 1 Corinthians 2:10-16.

@Keres John 14:6 Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

You would not be able to do any of these things if it were not for God. Because of God you exist.

@NILAP Boy, are you confused! I will pray for you.

Being good or noble will not get you to Heaven. Yes I do believe there is a Heaven and a Hell. Where do you want to spend eternity; smoking or non-smoking?

My stepfather died of cancer also. I was about 20 at the time and was sent home from Vietnam on emergency leave. I was granted a compassionate reassignment for a year so I could be with him and my mother. He had cancer of the lymph nodes and the cancer literally ate him alive. He died about four months after I returned home. His death devastated me, to me he was my father and I loved him very much. It broke my heart and I became a falling down drunk for the next 20 years. I don’t think I was blaming God, I just strayed away from him and led a sinful lifestyle. I claimed to be a Christian but there was little evidence of it. About 20 years later I returned to the Lord and begged him to help me stop drinking. He answered my prayer and I have been sober for 24 years. I am going to Church and Sunday School on a regular basis. I am grateful for what He has done in my life.
