  • AMEN!!! Roll up our sleeves, stand shoulder to shoulder, and help in any way we can.

  • The Blaze was only quoting or in this case most likely paraphrasing the original article from the local news. Also, that one little line would not stop me from defending my home nor would it make me think twice about doing so.

Please try to remember that The Blaze and its staff can not and do not make stuff up like much of the main stream media. They do hold themselves to a higher standard.

  • I too am waiting on RCN… I have been posting to their Facebook page from time to time. Guess I should step it up.

  • Please compare apples to apples. A 5 year old in the US who is not being trained to kill innocent people from a different religion is completely different from a 5 year old being taught to kill Americans or Christians. But more to your point… As a matter of fair and balanced reporting, The Blaze probably should have covered this tragic death. However as I have not yet seen the reporting on this incident, I can not express an educated opinion.

  • To: Verceofreason,

At no point in time does there appear to be any evidence of severe emotional instability in this 11 year old boy. Based upon the way the father handled this incident he too seems to be of very sound mind and body and not likely to be a threat to anyone unless they become a direct threat to his friends, family, home, property, or loved ones.

I will strongly remind you that the Columbine, CO shooting took place in the middle of the Clinton “Assault Weapons” ban, and all those laws along with the State and Local laws DID NOTHING to stop those two young men bent on death and destruction. In CT, there were laws that legally prevented that killer from legally possessing any of those weapons on his own and that did not stop him. Back in the days of Al Capone, all of his men were not legally allowed to own the weapons they had and those laws did not stop him or his men.

The sad and unfortunate reality is that no amount of legislation will ever stop the ill will of a person or group of people. Besides, even if you do ban 100% of all guns and every law abiding citizen does turn them all in, how many decades will have to go by before all the illegal guns on the black market or in the dark allies of our cities and towns will too old to function?

Nope, if you were to disarm all of the general public, statistics from all around the world prove that violent crime will skyrocket since the innocent citizens of that country can no longer defend themselves.

  • Although I am not going to blame all video games and all music for the actions of a few stupid individuals, there certainly is a direct connection between many of these stupid individuals who set out to cause harm to others. But rather that society and weak parenting in general are the main issues here. Video games and music in moderation seem to be just fine.

It is when these people spend most of their waking hours immersed in these games and music that monsters seem to develop. But to blame a video game or a type of music for the actions of a deranged person is just as bad as blaming the gun they used.

But with that said, parents need to get back to being involved in their kids lives and not just overseeing them.

  • There is only one way to deal with an uninvited intruder. He or she is uninvited, they are there with obvious ill intent, so you take no chances. You put them down and put them down hard!!!

  • May God bless and keep her as she continues to defend our 2nd Amendment Rights!!!

  • I can say that I have on several occasions over the years that God has spoken to me directly. Not necessarily in a truly audible way, but in a way that got my attention to ensure that I would act. The very best example I have to offer is this.

Several years ago now while driving, I called a friend, Dave, and got a busy signal. I just figured that I would call him back the next day. As I continued to drive, God reached down, got my attention and told me to “Call him back NOW!!!”

I did call my friend back and his younger brother answered the phone. I asked him to give the phone to his older brother. When he entered his brother’s room, I heard my friend screaming at the top of his lungs: ” Okay God, you came here to save the world, who the F*** is going to save me?!!!”

With that, his little brother said: “Dave, Mark is on the phone”

As it turns out, my friend Dave was about to commit suicide, and had I not called back, there would have been no event that stopped him from killing himself. So I hurried over to his home, and we talked for hours about what was going on. He is alive today and doing very well all because I was open to hearing from God and then was willing to act on His instruction.

Over the years, situations like this have happened several times. And each time I am blessed by the opportunity to be the hand and feet of God.

Thank you for reading all of this.

  • The sermon was honest and accurate. He has no need of apologizing for it. And I do not believe that he should have stepped down. I have seen him live on many occasions and he is more then capable of presenting the message and holding his own against any criticism.
