I have to agree. It’s not her handwriting I have an issue with.. it’s her SPELLING (or, rather, her misspelling). It was the first thing I noticed. Maybe for lower elementary grades I would expect phonetic spelling, but for a fourteen year old girl? If I were this girl’s teacher (past or present), I would not want to show my face.

I do not dislike Bush and, like many here, while I didn’t like everything he did while in office I believe he love the troop I think the Bush haters should stop and think about how good Obama makes W look.

I have to agree with you . I have *always* believed that SOME (although not ALL) of his tricks or illusions are done with black magic (witchcraft).

Dank, you continue to offend! You don’t know what you are talking about!!!

  • October 15, 2013 at 10:00am

Sir, you do NOT know what you are saying. You are talking out of ignorance.

I couldn’t agree more Blink. Even in our home school curriculum, I get to decide if I want my kids to read the books that are suggested.
Just because someone else says it’s a ‘good book’, doesn’t make it one. If we must be careful what WE read, watch and listen to, it should be matter at least TWICE as much for kids. As my kids’ parent, I am charged by God with their protection. I take that charge VERY SERIOUSLY. I count protecting their eye and ear gates as well. I am also teaching to use their God-given discernment to decide what is good and what is not. As they saying goes… garbage in, garbage out. How can we think that what is being seen, heard and read will have NO effect on their mind? That is foolish.

Seriously??? Seriously?? You are comparing being old enough to drive with reading sexually graphic material??? Seriously?? I’m sorry I keep repeating that, but I am sitting here DUMBFOUNDED you actually said that. The point IS that it should be up the the PARENTS if their kids are allowed to read filth like that. And have no doubt, it IS filth. *I* don’t even read trash like that!!! I would NOT want that sort of content embedded in my SON’S mind EVER!!! Don’t you know what this does to a person’s spirit?? I am *so glad* I home school my kids. I only hope parents who are not able to home school find out about the sort of filthy material the schools are putting into the hands of their children. There are other, BETTER ways that the author could have gotten her point across rather than to rely on such words the put such graphic images in the mind of people. It’s a shame such books are actually considered ‘good literature.’ : ( I’ll take Pride and Prejudice ANY DAY to such trashy stuff.

Um… evolution IS a theory and a shaky one at that. Just get into an in-depth study of molecular biology or even an into to physics class and despite the brainwash push for the ‘millions of years’ theory, there remains more evidence for intelligent design (better known as creation) in. I think that the WAY creation is sometimes presented is what drives people away. Just like other propaganda, the media keeps evidence for creation OUT of the mainstream while pushing evolution on *every single* “science” show on TV and allow it to be pushed in all government school science books (repeat the lie enough times and people being to accept it). Remember the movie called “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed” by Ben Stein? Evolution is a relatively new THEORY and came about when the church began to reject the power of God in the everyday (and even reject it in its entirety). This is cessationism and it is a LIBERAL belief system as well. For me personally, I believe that God created all people with a specific purpose, gave us gifts and PLACED us in this specific place in time to use our gifts to help others know God and live life with JOY and purpose. The alternative is that we are an accident or mistake that crawled out of the sludge, grew up from monkeys (ewwww) and have no purpose here other than to eek out an existence here, survive and live for ourselves. Sounds like a miserable existence to me. But if some want to believe this, they can.

I was thinking the SAME thing.

Thank you for defending creation science. I am also a creation science believer and so am constantly ranting about how evolution and ‘millions of years’ is always presented as FACT (which it is not). To me, if someone begins a science program or lecture with an evolutionary assumption, I *immediately* question everything else in it.

DISAGREE! The legalizing of abortion was done in the same manner as Obamacare. This issue has certainly NOT been settled and NEVER will until the end of time I imagine since there will always be those who believe killing preborn babies is necessary (like a commenter I have seen here). WHERE IS THE SHAME?

  • July 15, 2013 at 9:32am

I cannot BELIEVE you just said that. I thought I could not be shocked by ANYTHING coming from the pro-abortion side, but congratulations. You won the prize. UNBELIEVABLE. Killing babies is necessary?? Really? May God have mercy on our country.

I am suprised at the many judgemental posts here. I won’t comment on THOSE. I only want to remind people that SATAN is a counterfitter. He is not an original thinker. He takes what God made good (including ideas and dreams and visions people have like for business or inventions or WHATEVER) and uses them for evil. He his a master deceiver. He is a liar, and a thief that has come to kill, STEAL and destroy. God created music. IMO *ALL* music. It is Satan that takes music and turns it into evil. It doesn’t have to be rock music… ANY music can be used for evil including jazz and classical. If Satan touches the composer or musitian, it turns to evil. I myself love Jesus Culture and Hillsong and some other Christian artists like that. This band is not to my taste. I no longer listen to secular music since I found Chirstian music. I feel closer to God. I hear worship music in my sleep. I wake up thinking about the postive lyrics. How can that be bad?

Amen. Well said. I would have thought the mom of a special needs child would have thicker skin by now. (Speaking as a mom of a speical needs child, it’s often necessary.) I do see her concern TO A POINT. It would’ve been nice to see a closer placement of the wheelchair to the bleachers but like another poster said, it’s a *school* picture and maybe the photographer was new.

And yet life in the womb is not worthy to live… or is not REAL life… just ‘potential’ life.

  • May 28, 2013 at 3:31pm

I agree with the propaganda part. When I *first* heard about this story I wondered why they cared since they mercilessly kill so many wanted infants. I feel sorry for the baby. What situation was the mother in that she felt like she had to do this? She could have gone to her local population control office (China’s Planned Parenthood) and had her baby aborted. Sad sad sad.

Very well said. So many people misunderstand the priciples of healing. Someone else here commented, medicine + healing and that is right. I myself have a healing gift and have prayed for many people who have successfully been healed. Cessasionism in the western church has so weakened our ability to BELIVE that healing can work and that is sad. Many believers even have more faith in medicine and doctors than they do in God to heal. That is even MORE sad. HOWEVER, I believe this article is more than just about the debate of cessationism vs. healing. It’s about RELIGIOUS FREEDOM. Look at Jehovah’s Witnessess. They do not believe in receiving blood products and will also allow their members do die (including children) rather than give them blood products from a stranger. Doctors have had to get a court order to override the parent’s wishes to give them blood. I don’t agree with the the JW beliefs or the decision of these parents but let’s focus the debate in the correct area here: how much authority does a city, state, or federal government have over religious freedoms and rights? I don’t agree with all the Libratarian views regarding drugs, but I like that they take a strong stance for freedom from government control. Even if this couple goes to jail, it won’t change their beliefs OR the beliefs of those like them. WHat it will do is put another prescedent in the books for restriction of religious freedoms. THAT fact makes me very very uneasy.

Maybe Mr. Beck can pay for the family to go to Israel where, I will BET, that government will help them. This whole this is SHAMEFUL but not suprising since I am SURE Obama and company would love to outlaw homeschooling in America so all kids can be FORCED into the government school’s indoctrination.

I thought he was made to look like the Emperor from Star Wars. My kids thought he resembled Darth Sideous though.
