With Young Voters, Republicans Must Give Up on Social Issues or Give Up Altogether, Poll Data Suggests
December 5, 2012 at 4:35pm
Should the Republican Party surrender the war against the mass murder of babies, the party of Lincoln will be dead. Or at least what the party of Lincoln is said to have stood for, life and freedom for all no matter who the person may be.
During Lincoln’s day the Republican Party was in a similar way spilt on the social issues of the day, slavery. Just as now there were those that did not care about their fellow man being denied personhood and liberty. They wanted the abolitionists to drop the issue and just move on. Thank goodness the antiabortionist’s selfish, heartless and disgraceful position was not taken up by the Party and the abolitionist stance was adopted.
Today the Party has a similar choice. Adopt the stance of selfish heartless cowards, or adopt the stance of the new abolitionist movement and for all men to be free.
There will come a day when abortion is seen by most as evil and wrong just as most today see slavery as evil and wrong. History will judge those that wanted to drop the fight or approve the evil of murdering babies with disgrace, dishonor and disdain. Just as those who did nothing in the face of slavery or supported it are remembered.
How will history remember and judge you? Will you fight for freedom for all or give into selfishness and dishonor.

Tea Party vs. Progressive Republicans — Battle for the Soul of the GOP
December 3, 2012 at 12:58pm
In 2010 the Republican party, for the most part, embraced the base and the tea party, and won big. In 2012 the Republican party pushed a liberal flip flopping liberal as the only choice, ran a very nasty campaign against the more conservative or actual conservative candidates. Romney’s very nasty and negative primary campaign helped to depress Republican turnout on election day. Romney’s BIG and numerous flip flops helped to depress Republican turn out. Romney being a liberal progressive help to depress Republican voter turn out. Romney being a founding father of Obamacare and the HHS Mandate helped to depress Republican voter turn out. A Republican appointee on the Supreme Court declaring Obamacare constitutional depressed Republican turn out. Save for the first debate Romney ran a weak pansy campaign, unlike the primaries, he played the nicey nice guy and agreed too much with Obama and that helped depress Republican turn out. Romney was weak on social issues and it lost him a lot of social issue voters who went third party, which of course depressed Republican turn out. If the Republican party continue on the path of liberal progressivism it will continue to lose. Why vote for the knock off liberal (progressive Republicans) when voters can vote for name brand liberals? This election shows that given the choice conservatives will not vote for progressive Republicans, and nor will liberals.

Tea Party vs. Progressive Republicans — Battle for the Soul of the GOP
December 3, 2012 at 12:40pm
I agree if the progressive establishment Republicans didn’t completely destroy party unity by throwing the tea party, libertarian/ Ron Paul, and social under the bus, and attacking them just like the left, we would have won. But no the establishment types want to go further left and shun the new generation of what would be a new young and fresh Republican party.
