Years ago when I first started listening to Beck he did a monologue on his experience in the Conn. DMV. It was truly hilarious, but I have never heard him replay it but wish he would.
I once spent 12 hours over 2 days in a CA DMV just trying to get a vehicle registered. And I had all the proper paper work, filled out correctly, to boot. I have found that in my current state, that if you show up 15 minutes or so before they stop giving out numbers (about 4:30). You are almost always out of there by 5:00 PM(They no longer authorize overtime) If you can't beat the State employees union, make their weaknesses work for you.
I was thinking the same thing about Colorado DMV where no one has any clue how to do what you need done and they'll make you spend literally a week jumping from one place to another with the "We don't do that here, you need to go to the office at..." nonsense.
Then you get to the second place and have to wait 4-6 hours to be told they don't actually do what you need either and you have to go somewhere else. Then when you finally get to the place that can do it you find out that the phone system, web page and other DMV employee's were all wrong: you have the wrong paperwork.
Compare that with New Mexico, where you can go to the DMV Express, a private company, and get whatever you need done in under 30 minutes. Sure you pay an extra $20-$30 for it depending on what you need done, but it's totally worth it!
Honestly, it's kind of amazing that people don't break down like this more often at the DMV.
I've never once had any difficulty at a PA DMV, and I've lived here for over 35 years. As long as you have the right paperwork, it seems to me, everything will go fine. I haven't even had to wait long when there. This goes for getting 2 of my 3 kids licenses as well.

Three R’s of Detroit Schools: Robbery, Rage, and Recidivism.
I read it and even after my military training involving nuke still scary as hell. People consider 90-95% of every thing electrical non functioning. Water and waste not being pumped. No food being delivered because every vehicle newer than say 1966 won't run.
Ok we won't have Miley Cyrus on TV anymore.
Absolutely right...and with Obama or Hillary in office, there would be no kind of retaliation against the assailing nation...not one bit.
Yeah, that book is more of a horror story versus a thriller. Just think about the food and medicine part, let alone the riots, because people can't use their electronics.

Uhh… Good riddance to bad garbage. Attacking a family with an axe? If it was my family I’d want EMTs to revive him so I could strangle him back to death.
Hey, I'm not putting flowers on his grave here.
It's too bad that anyone has to die young whether they deserve it or not.

Actually, it is “former” if not active. “Retired” only refers to those who have completed a career to actual retirement ( either partial or full). It is the term “Ex-Marine” that is incorrectly applied frequently. If you are kicked out with a dishonorable or bad conduct discharge, you are no longer a Marine.
The numbers underneath (0341/8541) are billets. 0341 is a mortar man (aka ” tube strokers”) and 8541 is Scout/Sniper… but it is an old designation.

I would have called for the SWAT team and had every last one of them arrested.
