  Just catching up on this. You know what I love? Sure, some of these people are sort of dorky looking (although really only a few) but overall the views they display are (a) diverse and (b) overwhelmingly reasonable. Adding stock “silly” music to modest, non-crazy statements doesn’t make them sound any loonier. The commenters talking about tinfoil hats and reptoids are so off-base it’s laughable. The interviewees aren’t expressing anything close to that mindset. They mostly seem very well-balanced and sane. I don’t understand a world where LACKING a belief in a magical invisible demon who can read the minds of all people and can set the entire world on fire makes you the crazy one.

  Actually Inhofe and Scientists are both wrong: Climate change is caused by the Most Holy All-powerful Invisible Pink Eight Legged Hedgehog, Yeshuvoth-bat-bat-L’eroy. His Most High Grand Hedgehogness is the only one powerful enough to affect the weather.

  Or you could stop being an idiot and recognize that science, the only method we have of knowing anything that’s actually happening in the world, shows that our global industry DOES have an impact on the world around us.

  The problem is the encroachment of religion into public life. Laws with nothing but religious foundations, rights withheld on a religious basis, favoritism by government of religious organizations. Some people just get sick of that stuff. If mainstream religions were like belief in reptilian overlords or leprechauns (i.e. a private matter that didn’t affect the rest of us) that would be one thing. But they are treated differently. I think that’s pretty obvious.
