I’m a born again Christian & believe the Earth is over 5 billion years old. I also believe in evolution as part of God’s plan. I don’t understand how many religious people can put their heads in the sand like this. I know their hearts are in the right place so I don’t look down on them, but I don’t see the logic. Fossils, rocks, old mountain ranges, the Grand Canyon, etc.. Come on man.
God's plan? To do what? Turn us in to computers? 12 toed lizards? Where do we evolve to from here.......excluding the fact that not one "scientist" can show ONE example of "evolution"in any living thing.
I had a conversation with a group of Christians a few weeks back who thought like you and I found that they have a very limited understanding of both scripture and evolution. Once I showed them where and how evolution was lacking they determined to examine both more.
(2Ti 3:16) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Evolution is not in the Bible. If you don't believe the Bible of the past, why believe it for the future?
Kurt, Unfortunately for you, your beliefs are contrary to Scripture, of which the Bible says: All Scripture is God-Breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
Therefore, if you reject Genesis, or otherwise pick and choose what you believe in, then there is no word of God, and there are no absolutes of God, and we are running by automatic pilot without God having laid out any plan or purpose for mankind, and your ideas are as good as any person's ideas.
Evolution is a farce for great number of valid scientific reasons, and it is a Satanic doctrine that is presented to the world in all of its ever changing tenets and guesswork, which is all based upon thousands of evo scientists' mere theories that are erroneously presented as fact.
Check out Christian scholars who are able to show you hundreds of things that fully support the forgoing. (ICR) Institute for Creation Research, and other creation science websites. They have Phds on staff and easily refute all of evolutionism's claims.

I live in New Orleans, born & raised. This nhood has recently been plagued w/ armed robberies & break ins…ALL by young black men. There was actually a home invasion the same night 2 hrs before this shooting. The thief jumped a huge iron gate to enter this property & ignored the dog on the grounds. The prop owner, not knowing the thief’s age or intentions or whether he had a gun, had full right to be terrified & go into warrior mode to protect himself, his pregnant wife, & his child. Unfortunately, the kid got a bullet in the head. The ONLY charges that should come out of this should be against the kid & that kid’s parents for child abandonment. The state of black America is the real tragedy in these stories.

He never endorsed Romney in these ads. You should actually read the ads. He never mentions vote for Romney. He endorses voting for candidates that promote biblical values. Is that a shock to you?

I love how Harris-Perry thinks she is some black New Orleans local who grew up in the ghetto & knows poverty. She’s half white from Virginia carpetbagging down here in my hometown. She’s clueless & doesn’t see what any real New Orleans local knows for a fact…that THERE IS a serious subset of society here (& in America at large) that is in this welfare/poverty pimp culture that will not be broken while they are on the dole. She’s an idiot.
