  Why can’t you separate “gun control” from “disarming”. There is a huge gap there. Like it or not we already have gun control. You can’t buy a full auto M16. You can’t own and RPG or rocket launcher, these are technically arms aren’t they? So why is it that the laws we have now are the perfect ones and we can’t change them.

  The previous assault weapons ban was a joke and everyone knew it. Way too many loopholes to be effective. You don’t need an AR-15 outside of combat. I know many of you think that is coming with the Government but that is not really realistic. We had a hard enough time controlling Iraq and Afghanistan with our current Military, how could it take over every US city?

  And I know the statistics that only a small number of people are actually killed with the assault rifles, the problem is every nut job who wants to become famous uses one because they are the most effective killing machines available. Australia did it in 96 and hasn’t had a mass shooting since.

  Romney was the worst candidate since Nixon and you know it. He would come out in favor of whatever would get him elected because he somehow thought it was his birthright. People saw right through him and that is why he lost. His ideas on the economy were to go back to what almost caused the second great depression which we are still digging out of. I’m not saying that this was all Bushes fault for the crash nor is it all Obamas credit for the recovery. The crash was because everyone looked the other way while every financial institution was lining their pockets with unstable practices. This is why we need regulation.

That’s like saying oh this serial killer was born schizophrenic so we can’t put him in jail. Its not a valid comparison.   AM123, the answer is simple, It doesn’t matter. Pedophiles are imposing themselves on other people and hurting them. Gay people enter into a relationship willingly, no one is involved whom doesn’t want to be. Telling a gay person to just be straight is as easy as telling you to just be gay. Comparing the 2 is insulting and shows your ignorance. Didn’t Jesus say judge not lest ye be judged?

  Being gay is not a mental illness. You’re born gay. There are gay animals in the wild. I have gay friends that I knew were gay before they did. No one tries to be gay and you can’t fix it. It would be as easy for a gay man to find a woman attractive as it would for me to find a man attractive.
