  • Yes, the trooper messed up. The inmate showed that he is responsible and deserving of freedom. Also, like the other ex-offenders posting here, he should pursue the opportunity in his state to have his felony conviction be reviewed after a mandatory time period has lapsed and get his full citizenship restored. Only psychopaths are beyond redemption.

  • Why is no one talking about the sucessful soultuion to the school shooting problem that was created after the Columbine and Arkansas school shootings? Congress passed the Safe and Drug Free Schools law (Title IV) that provided funding for school police forces and research based programs for kids with behavior and drug problems. I administerd one of these programs in a school district and did consulting with other school districts regarding these programs. The funding gradually dropped off of these successful programs with the expectation that the school districts would pick up the funding. They could not afford to do that, the police were laid off and the programs were often shut down. The final phase out occurred within the last four years. Why don’t we hear about the proven solution and how they defunded that same solution? They want your guns.

  • Yes, those were murders, too. Finding murdered children does not justify murdering more children at will. Finding suffering and abused children does not justify murdering other children because you predict they may be unwanted or abused in the future. There is no way to ethically support your position on the basis of right and wrong. Your position is supported only by people’s feelings about what they want or don’t want. Feelings have little to do with what is right or wrong, unless you have the mentality of child.

  • The most basic question is the one that that strikes to the heart of the truth. Do you believe that an unborn baby is human? No? If it is not human, is it a cow? A rabbit? an ostrich? No, it is uniquely a human. Do you think that to kill innocent humans is murder? Yes? Sorry if this little exercise in basic logic makes you uncomfortable. It should.

  • Little minds create little people. The purpose of public education is to expose our children to the world around them in a safe and instructive way so that they may become productive and well rounded citizens. It is up to the parents to educate their children in the values and beliefs that conform to the family’s wishes.

Schools will allow parents to opt out their children from activities that are contrary to their beliefs. Jehovahs witnesses do it all of the time in Texas. No birthdays, no Christmas, no Halloween, etc… Other parents are more concerned with not having their children learn about sex education until they are ready to start dating. It is amazing how these things that can seem so threatening now, were just fun and innocent diversions when we were young. Some people are not satisfied until everyone is as miserable as they are.

I have been to Encinitas. Encinitas has a relatively large population of people who are in Self-Relaization Fellowship (SRF). This is a religion that combines the concepts of original Christianity and original Yoga. It uses prayer and meditation but not yoga postures to achieve communion with Christ. This religion is no threat to Christians or any other religion. The people are very pleasant. The church members can state what they believe and why they believe it, and most make every effort to practice what they preach. By and large they are very good people.

People fear what they don’t understand. Little minds create little p

  • Great post and a great plan. If courageous students take a stand and sue for money, then you will see a turnaround. It will be easier and less expensive to let the students be.

  • These attacks won’t end until the people take action. What universities understand is money drying up, and administrators getting fired. It is hard to pursue a personal discriminatory agenda when you have no money or position to do so. There needs to be an national association of christian donors that tracks and certifies that universities do not discriminate against christians. They can also track key personnel from job to job who act against free speech and freedom of religion (not to mistaken for “freedom from religion”). When the money dries up, tolerance for christian religious values will increase, or the personnel will change. It is easier and more profitable for a university to hire someone less controversial, and who will not adversely affect donations. The tide will turn when the people have had enough.

  • This kind of research is morally wrong. What of any value was learned that could not be found by interviewing a commercial fisherman? Either kill the pig for human food or let it live. What a waste.

I was also born and raised a Catholic, and left that religion when I became an adult. Indulgences were stopped in the middle ages. God is much greater than any limited human concept and God is everywhere and in everything. It is right to venerate people who have dedicated their lives to loving God and serving God through service to others. Venerating saints should not be confused with the worship of God. Only God performs miricals. Due to their lives lived in devotion and service, saints have a deeper devotional and loving relationship with God than most people. That allows them to successfully intercede on behalf of others. Of course, we can go directly to God without asking for a saint’s intercession. But most people don’t have that deep relationship with God that brigs God’s response. May you be filled with God’s grace and love.

  • I hope these poll watchers are reading this. The liberals always accuse the conservatives of doing illegal things that the left is actually doing. We have seen this time and time again. With only one exception that I can think of, the conservatives have not been the guilty parties. It has always been the liberals. Examples in my time include Chicago throwing the presidential election for JFK, Democrats trying to throw out military votes, having teams of lawyers in Florida attempting to steal the election for Bush while there was an underground attempt to manufacture more Democrat votes after the election. This was occurring while the legal proceedings were taking place, and the US Supreme Court had to step in and stop the farce. Then Obama sent bus loads of out of state voters to other states to steal the primary from Hillary Clinton. Whole voting boxes of votes from conservative leaning districts were found sunk in San Francisco Bay when some of the paper ballots floated to the surface. Elections being changed after the fact when boxes of votes were “found” in someone’s car after the election in Washington. The New Black Panther Party voter intimidation of white voters that was videotaped, and then Holder’s Justice Dept. dropped the prosecution. These are just the corrupt voting practices that I can think of off the top of my mind! The only reason that Democrats won’t stand for picture ID’s is that it will make it harder for them to steal elections.
