  As a vet and a retired career Trooper (spent over 30 years in uniform) I really appreciate it. One of the big misconceptions circulating now is that it takes highly trained people to kill cops. Any idiot can kill another person. Police are targets because we live and work in the real world, with the majority of law abiding citizens, in our own communities. We rely on them. Many people think that police are more scared of highly trained people.
  Any officer who works the pavement knows that any day could be his last…so what the hell difference does it make who does the killing? My family (wife and one son) were shot at in our own house….our battlefields are our own neighborhoods. It didn’t make a bit of difference to me if it was some knucklehead or some highly trained military type. Thank you for your service too.

  Its called discretion.
  If I can give another citizen a warning than why not a lawmaker?
  I am retired now, but I remember when I first started.
  I did not make a lot of money…we were very poor people and I had two kids as well.
  During my training with a field officer….I stopped this real piece of crap dodge dart. Had 4 bad tires.
  The trunk lid was open and there was clamming gear in there.
  I approached the driver and he was very nervous because he knew he was done for.
  I asked how business was, and he said it was terrible….clams were not paying very much, and he had a new baby. He said he was sorry that his tires were so bad.
  I looked at him, and told him that I expected to see at least one new tire on there by next week.
  My FTO asked me why I did not write him a ticket….I said, “whats the sense of writing a poor man a ticket when he can put this money into tires”?
  “Good man” he said.
  Two weeks later he had 2 new tires on.

  When we we first married we were poor., no electricity, indoor plumbing. We lived in a camp really. Some of the best times of my life.
  Many places now you can’t use a spring or dug well, or a back house anymore.
  Many codes are designed for business / corporate lobbyists, and union employment.
  I have a friend who was a lumber in MA who once told me that for years the state would not allow PVC drain piping because his union lobbied and fought to keep the old iron pipe workers employed at a higher wage, thus not allowing it by code. \
  My electrician said the same thing, many things are code not necessarily because of safety.

  As far as Rice goes, she is extremely wealthy and some of her money is tied up in the corporate Keystone Pipeline deal……but the worst part of why I think she stepped down from SEC of S was her notorious position with long standing friendship with Paul Kageme and support for M23 on the new genocidal Congo war.

  Also…I did not really want to post this to further fuel the “conspiracy addicts” state of mind. But there is a reason why Obama has befriended/ using the tribes in America; not because he is just a nice guy:)…..and has gained head way in the UN on using indigenous peoples. There are millions upon millions of illegal Mexican and S. American immigrants that fall into the category by white European blood standard of being indigenous.
