“Bush said that Florida has become a model for the nation.”

Let me tell you something. My mother was a 33 year teacher in Florida, and retired specifically because of Common Core. She said this past two years were especially bad. She had never had students who dreaded walking into her class until full implimentation went into effect.

I liked Jeb as a governor at the time, but I would never consider voting for him again. If Florida is the model, someone forgot to give the model builders the correct plans or the modelis flat out broken.

I’m shocked that the Air Force was the first on emmasculated.

This salty old Marine woulda sworn the Navy’d be the first to go. Much shorter distance between points A and B. Those jet speeds really made a difference, I guess.

Or… -and I’m just spit ballin’ here- OR… The people you’re noticing are trolls who have nothing better to do with their lives than to some to the Blaze and post stupid stuff like that.

    Trolls exist.

“The CBO also said in its report that a sudden increase would lift some 900,000 Americans above the federal poverty line, adding that the increased earnings for low-wage workers resulting from higher wages would total approximately $31 billion.”

CORRECTION: A sudden increase would lift some 900,000 Americans above the federal poverty line momentarily, but only until higher labor costs push the cost of goods higher, landing minimum wage earners right back where they started, and the 500,000 people who lost jobs would be totally screwed.

First Obamacare will cost 2.5 to 3 million jobs and now this.

Does this Marxist dunce have a single policy that actually helps people, or is it all about creating more Dem voters?

Agree entirely. The days of authoritarian control via dictatorial mandates is coming to an end.

You can only stop people from owning guns when the People have to buy them because nobody can make their own. Now that anyone can make them, it’s going to be impossible to control.

    Dank, you’re a moron.

It was also a tradition to kill people who dissented with the government. Should we continue that?

  • October 24, 2013 at 12:32pm

Everything the Dems do, they do for the continuation of their own power, from identity politics to entitlements, to standing in the way of elections that can be truly called fair via voter ID laws, to (yes!) giving citizenship to people here illegally in order to turn them into new Dem voters.

There’s only “no good reason” because they’re overlooking the best reason: it’s a Dem power grab.

Remarkably similar to the Hannity call earlier this week.

I’ve said all along that this whole mess just brings the failed VA system to the masses.

This only illustrates the point. Tell me you couldn;t see theseresponses coming from the DMV.

Ripped directly from a Facebook post and outed as an urban legend.

The Truth lives here on The Blaze… and THAT is not it.

I can hear the call now:

“Get back in line, Bob, or we’ll ruin you.”

    “Yessir! Right away, sir!”

Regardless, who could blame Boehner for saying it, if he did?

I have all the respect in the world for the Office of the Presidency, but I have no respect at all for the man holding the office right now.

He’s just following Zero’s lead. You know- the self described basketball fan who calls the Miami Heat the “Heats,” who can’t name a single baseball player he liked either from his favorite A’s of this childhood or the White Sox of his adulthood, not to mention calling their ballpark “Cominskey Field” (it’s Comiskey Park), or the mom jeans baseball opening day throws, or the multiple times he’s embarrassed himself on the basketball court and the bowling alley.

It’s all about packaging himself for the urban voter. The man is a fraud.

    Both are, actually.

I’d buy that for a dollar.

One wonders what her feelings are about Obamacare.

Wouldn’t it be delicious if she were a Conservative that hated the plan and loudly spoke out against it?

Loving one’s enemies? Is that what he read the morning of the La Raza speech where he said to punish their enemies?

  • October 23, 2013 at 2:11pm

YOU: “think rationally. If the plan didn’t work for SOME people then by now no one would be behind it.”

Think rationally? OK. I will, but will you?

Why did we replace an entire healthcare system with this mess because less than 10% were not covered? That plan didn’t work for SOME people and the vast majority prefer it over what we have now. So why change it?

Your Lefty morons rewired the whole house because of one burnt out lightbulb and wouldn’t allow anyone to read the blueprints before you did it. Now, after they put their substandard wiring in and flipped the switch, ONLY NOW are you wondering why electrical fires are breaking out all over the place.

Worse: you’re not even wondering. You’re sitting in the house as it burns down around you and saying “There’s nothing wrong!”

They are not now paying anything. They don’t go into effect until 1/1/14.

Also, were they quoted a premium based off of this?

  • October 23, 2013 at 1:57pm

There are many things that SCotUS has called Constitutional that, in fact, wasn’t.

    Just to name a few:
    Dredd Scott
    Plessy v. Fergusson
Kelo v. City of New London
(Like it or not, on the basis that it takes the God-given Right to live) Roe v. Wade
