Actually, in many cases, they are a good thing: keeping neighbors from painting their house pink, keep lawns proper, keep above ground pools in the back yard….etc. However, I agree, in some cases they go off the deep end. They feel the power and they over do it, like most government agencies.
One of the things that causes HOA to act in this fashion is the very nature of contract law. You have to enforce all aspects of a contract or either the entire contract or at least that portion becomes null and void. So, they cave on this and the next @sshat that wants to fly the North Korean flag or something else annoying gets to do so without recourse in the contract.
"Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely."
HOAs. Every one of them is a breeding ground for countless numbers of Little Hitlers who just salivate at making other people act according to their whims.
Zero Tolerance means Zero Intelligence.
Curious Cavallo, how long would a North Korean flag stand over American soil?
Cavllo Makes a good point , however Backgroundchecked really gets to the meat of it. Why, if the HOA has meetings assumably on occasion, and If I am not mistaken, they would have to have a vote of some kind to make or change these rules, why would they not see the error of not allowing such a non- problematic flag, and just vote to allow it in their rules? Seems like an easy thing to do. I am sure they have amended other things in their existence as well. The Fact that a flag such as the North Korean flag would be summarily voted down , does not really make it understandable why the WW flag would not be included as a suitable flag. There is something rotten in this whole organization. I for one am glad however to know that we now see people who are starting to fight back against the "Powers that be" rather than just capitulate. Makes me think that there may indeed be hope for us as a Country. I have often given up hope.

No, I think he may be looking for his manhood. As I recall, Putin did neuter him recently.
He would look like something I left in the crapper!

Gee, I hope those gentlemen that took the guns have been “cleared” before the theft. I mean, have they been checked with FBI record keeping to determine if they can legally own or posses firearms? I sure hope so or they can be in very serious trouble.

This should help Rover sales. I was a bit surprised however that the front window was broken so easily. In any case, one less creep to worry about.

Hey, I’ll pay for their birth control. Do you really want these deranged fools breeding?

Looks like he lost the “stones” to go after Syria, perhaps because Russia has sent in two warships. To make up for that act of a coward, he will now go after more gun control. Such a man! The American people deserve more.

If Obama had a son.

If brains were gasoline, there wouldn’t be enough in Matthews’ head to allow a piss-ant to drive a motor cycle around the inside of a cheerio.

Why not dig up Phillis Diller?

I’m confused as to how such an enlightened State could have possibly re-elected Claire McCaskill.

Obviously you’re having a bad day. Why not chill out? Perhaps go to you’re favorite clinic, get a soft drink, most likely Cool Aid, perhaps ice cream, most likely Ben and Jerry’s, find some sympathetic liberals and take in an abortion. Once refreshed, you can go back to trolling.

We should redefine assault weapons as ‘late term abortion tools’, very late. Once the liberal feeble mind is wrapped around this concept, gun control will be put to rest.

I saw the FOX interview with Dianne. Couldn’t believe she suggested a 12 gauge would have been sufficient. As an older woman, doesn’t she realize a 12 gauge could knock her backwards and most assuredly severely damage her shoulder? An AR15 would be much easier on a frail frame.
Well look at how many Bostonians are not working today...
If they don’t find him tonight, are they going to keep the town shut down tomorrow??? What then??? As compact and condensed as the place is, the suspect could be anywhere… I am betting he is not found by the doughnut squad today or tonight… Look at how many federal, state and local police there are… We have become the very state that Ben Franklin warned us about… If we give up freedom for security, we deserve neither… If you can’t protect yourself the police sure wont… Look at the Army Msgt in Texas arrested for NOT breaking any law… Now look at Massachusetts and all the cowards there that expect the police to protect them… Additionally, look that the Army is asked to help the police even after having one of their own arrested for NOT breaking the law by carrying a rifle for protection… How ironic is that??? Hey Army guys, try carrying a rifle in Massachusetts on a hike there… http://www.repeal17.net We have to reclaim our freedom
Additionally, Look at all the new vehicles and the Armored vehicles these guys have, in light of the abuse the police dish out, They take our money to use against us in the interest of spying on us, setting us up, and arresting us, some deservedly so, but for the most part they are simply the politicians tool…

Scarborough has never been anywhere near center right or center.
Just a thought on the shooter: most experts will point out, the one thing the killer fears most is failure -the Majority of the time the Killer intends to die. They pick the target where they are least likely to fail – as an example, the Aurora movie theater shooting. What deters the killer is the possibility of failing especially where the intended target might be armed or be around others that might be armed..(concealed carry) This is a mental illness issue not a gun grabber issue. Deter these people (concealed carry), problem solved.
