  @josh….you are actually wrong. the left right scale is purely economy. right is capitalism and the left is socialism. the north south scale is political/social control. with north meaning no individual liberty and south being anarchy. and technically there is a third scale the should come out of the cross section making it a 3d model that is moral with one end being altruism and the othr end being selfish. the difference between complete anarchy and the kingdom of jesus on earth is the moral standing of the people.

  @hoot….pedophilia is different than homsexuality, there are plenty of hetero pedos out there. and as for homosexuality being a sin, so is premarital sex, masturbation, casting judgement on our fellow man, coverting someone elses property, in some circles swearing, and a whole host of other things, i am sure you partake in seeing as you are not jesus and only he was perfect. not saying you have to love homosexuals or anything of the sort, but accept that they exist and let the matters that involve only them and god matter only to them and god. ironically that is why the right in this country falls towards fascism, they are more often moral fascists where the left are political fascists. the republicans may try to ‘keep govt out of your busines…’ but then out of nowhere, its okay to make you do what they think is right or keep you from doing something they think is wrong based on their own morality. thus taking away any credibility of any argument they give.

  not disagreeing with his arguments at all or yours fishbone….but even the dark ages were more more technologically advanced than the most high tech native americans. on average they were stone age, at best they were the mayans and aztecs as advanced as ancient babylon without the bronze….

  keatonc i kind of agree with the first 3 you point out which is a good decription of the uninformed republican voter and he run of the mill republican congressman but the last one about christianity is wrong. you cant be a socialist because you follow christs teachings. they are all based upon the individual and that is a principle tenet of the right is to follow his teachings on a personal basis. whn you attempt to force his way upon people that is socialism. if you force someone to be good it does not make them good. you are good because of your choices not by lack thereof due to laws.

  hahaha thank god abortion was a choice? really? for me abortion is a gray area when it comes to politics but as far as god goes…im pretty sure abortion is not part of his ways. or is this the hidden 11th commandment: “if thou dost spread thy seed feel free to kill it before it grows….” i figure this breaks the adultery, murder, and coveting your neighbors property, and then using the lords name in vain, off the top of my head.
