They had drums and symbols back then just not electric guitars so really there is not that much difference other then the beat you say.But how do you know what the beat was?
Where in the bible does it specify which beats are good & which are evil?
You are only quoting secular musicians & not Christian musicians, why?
    Bob Hartman (Petra)

In the heat of early morning on a hill
    They call The Skull
The roaring of the angry mob
    Had settled to a lull

All eyes were cast upon the man
Whose hands and feet were bound
They saw Him cry in anguish
When they heard the hammer pound

They saw the bloody woven thorns with
    Which His head was crowned
They watched the bloody cross of wood
    Be dropped into the ground

The soldiers gambled for His clothes
They watched them win and lose
They saw the sign above His head
That said “King of the Jews

They searched His face for anger
    For vengeance in his stare
Instead of eyes that burned with hate
A look of love was there

    He prayed for their forgiveness
    And bowed His battered head
And no one knew the meaning
Of the final words He said

    It is finished
And the sky grew black as the night
    It is finished
And the people scattered in fright

    The work had been done
    Redemption had been won
The war was over without a fight
    It is finished

    The provision has been made
    The foundation has been laid
    He paid the ransom due
And tore the temple veil in two
    And opened up the way
    For me and you

    It is finished

As a Christian I have to say that you are mistaken Brother and the arguments you make have been made before by every other generation who doesn’t like the style of music the next has.
At first people thought the organ was “of the devil” then the microphone, then the guitar, drums, electric guitar now it’s this style for you that seems wrong but it’s not.
The saving message of Jesus Christ should NEVER be changed but the delivery of that message must remain relevant and singing Christian lyrics with a particular beat does not make it evil.
Please investigate “Petra”, they say “their rock is not our ROCK” and Bob Hartman has written some phenomenal songs rich with scripture and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Stryper, Rez Band and Bride are some of my other favorites. BTW, I don’t particularly like rap music But I like Lecrae and Toby Mac because of their strong testimony and love for Christ. I’m not going to put them down just because I don’t like their style. This video is called “I can play the background” it’s means that it’s not all about me (or you), it’s about Jesus. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGgs9eusKnE

@Loki Who has ever FORCED you to say the pledge of allegiance? Who? No one can.
    Now back to your statement
“To force those who do not believe or worship the christian god to say “under god” is establishing a state religion.”
WRONG, recognizing God is NOT “establishing a state religion.” Many religions recognize God as a supreme being; Christians, Jews, Mormons and Muslims.
So we can agree on a divine being without requiring a national or state religion.

If it helps bring people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ then I’m all for it!

Tell the 2 white people O.J. Simpson killed that.
BTW if anything, this is a Black vs. Brown issue.
And sadly it would of never gotten national attention unless the media would not of made the mistake of thinking Zimmerman was white in the beginning.

Also did you hear Bush ever saying that if he had a son he would look like Ronald Goldman?
Our President has done more to stoke the fan of racism then any other in the last 50 years.

Very encouraging to see the effects of the Democrat kool-Aide wearing off; soon he will be accused of being a racist. I know it is just human nature to want to believe the words of someone giving you free stuff but like Senator Guillory said, they are all about CONTROL. Both parties have their faults but the Democrats have gotten way too radical and controlling, so good to see my black brothers waking up.

Most of all the Muslims like the ones Bill Cosby described are also cowards and are afraid to clean their own house and get rid of the radicals. M. Zuhdi Jasser is one of the few exceptions http://www.mzuhdijasser.com/

Your post was excellent, it’s not about disgracing the Marines its about a high school graduation and following the schools rules.

“Graduate in the cap and gown because it is the school’s rules, and don’t wear them over your Marine Corps uniform. After boot camp you belong to the Corps so you’ll have to follow their rules, and one of them is respecting authority. Don’t start your tour of duty with an act of defiance against authority, even if it is only the authority of the high school. Defying authority in the Marine Corps will result in large painful lumps on your head.
    Semper Fi.”
    Well said.

@Miami, you got that right brother, the AR 10 (.308) is much better than an AR15

Atheist already have a holiday; April Fool’s Day!

“Since his publication On the Origin of Species in 1859, additional advances in knowledge have fine-tuned and repeatedly verified his insights” what a BIG LIE, Darwin thought cells were just globs of matter, we know that they are so much more complex than his theory allows for; science doesn’t disprove a creator it supports a creator. The harm Evolution has done to science is that we lost our objectivity; we can’t just observe a thing and learn about it without trying to figure out how it fits into some unproven Evolutionary Theory, this is a blurred lens.

Love him or not, show me where Darwin claimed to be an Atheist, he was probably agnostic, he even said it himself.
“The mystery of the beginning of all things is insoluble by us; and I for one must be content to remain an agnostic.”
    Charles Darwin

    Exactly!
Another funny thing is that when I speak to Atheist about God often times they say “you can’t prove a negative” meaning you can’t prove that God does not exist. If this is so then why do they try so hard and why this “church”?
The fact is that they really do know God exist but they don’t want to accept Him.
I don’t believe in Mickey Mouse, Buddha or Islam so I don’t feel a big need to try to prove it, I know the truth and the truth has set me free. Build a church to Mickey Mouse if you want; it won’t affect my faith (maybe make it stronger) it’s just a Freudian slip anyway.

    Good for him!

A man with good principles and willing to stand up for them is a big asset to a company, I’d try to get him back also, they are few & far between.

Way back when we had a Chevrolet Suburban (when they were the most stolen vehicles in America) and it had one of my Grandmothers hand made quilts in the back when the Suburban was stolen.
We didn’t really care much about loosing the Suburban (never found it) we just wanted the quilt back.
Somethings are irreplaceable; in today’s society we tend to forget that.

I thought there must of been some reason why I liked him, now I know why.

  • February 1, 2013 at 4:52pm

They have a like the news anchor said a 1st amendment right to put this up but if it were really true they wouldn’t need to.
It is kind of a Freudian slip to do so. They claim God does not exist but they spend so much time & effort trying to convince others that He doesn’t. Guess what? I don’t believe in Mickey Mouse but if you want to go ahead, I won’t bother me one bit because I know you are wrong. That’s the real difference; somewhere deep down inside their own heart they know God is real and they are fighting it.

This is NOT a Christ edifying response & I hope it turns out to be false.
I am a Christian and I would never ever do something like this and I don’t know of ant other Christians that would either. It’s not the waitress’s fault and if you don’t like the gratuity rate then you don’t have to come back to the restaurant.
We should show the LOVE of Christ, not the stinginess of Scrooge!

Mr. Heslim is obviously upset and with good reason, he is grieving over the death of his son so I will not disrespect him. But he happens to be wrong and Martin knows that so he plays this trick to pander to the anti-2nd Amendment crowd.
If Martin had any dignity he would be ashamed of himself.
Why are we not hearing about metal detectors & armed guards like in the airports?
I’ll tell you why, because the Liberals don’t care about our safety, they want to control our lives and this is the way to do it. Taking guns away creates more victims all you have to do is look where they currently have strict gun control laws to find that out.

The voice sounds identical to that of those old “speak and spell” learning devices by Texas Instruments from the 80s.
It seems to me that it is saying “number one…….one”.
