uhh you’re statement makes little sense..”Yet teachers and union members make more than any teacher in the world, or in American history” so teachers make more than teachers? ok? most teachers are union so there goes that point..the good ones are working 60+ hours a week. Nice try though!
uhhh because he owns this site for one and if you don’t like what he has to say..leave!

@zorro…pass judgement much? There are some kids that can’t pass the test, but to paint with the broad stroke you did implies you haven’t researched enough into this. These high stakes tests are what teachers are/will be evaluated on. its not just about kids passing a test. The teachers are teaching to a test to get kids to pass a freaking test that sometimes may not even have content that they even prepared for. They aren’t teaching to mastery, its enough to get them to pass a test, that they don’t get results for until sometimes the next year which by then the kid is 6mths behind. These test are a big money grab by companies like Pearson. They have people making 10/hr to grade tests that are slanted from the start. They can’t have too many high scores or low scores. Why? so they can keep tweaking the test year after year. The tests are the achilles heal of common core. refuse the test and the gig is up.

please do yourselves a favor and watch the movie Standardized Lies, Money and Civil rights: How testing is ruining public education.

depends if its a field test. if it is you get no results, nothing for the teachers and nothing for the parents. its only for the test developers like pearson. so why take the test. if enough opt out the testing fails. thats why its important.

who provides the ranking numbers. We are America. Who gives a crap what the rest of the world is doing anyway? The problem with Common Core especially math is that its not efficient at all. They add 5 more steps to a simple multiplication problem and memorizing their times tables has been replaced with a cheat sheet that they can look at all the time. Science has become a globalists wet dream so they can push their Global Warming agenda. Don’t think so. read Expert 21. Common Core assignments can be grabbed from many different sites and depending on publisher aren’t the same. So their standard is non standard. Look to the publishing companies and see how much they are making on high stakes testing. Pearson is making billions now. So if you don’t see how its a bad idea, do some more research so you can have an intelligent statement.

i think many people are right here. i agree with rx4nv as I informed my kids that they might be left out of any celebratory events after the test. They understood. Now I’m not sure if its intentional on the schools part to exclude non participants as they are going to celebrate no matter what. Now I can tell you that my third graders teacher had to announce to the class that my daughter would not be joining them in the test. to me that was slight hazing. which was unnecessary and unprofessional.

Supposedly those are letters that could be sent out but haven’t been yet. Don’t say I don’t know what I’m talking about as I clearly stated that the is other dude has a viral video going around stating no letters went out. Don’t be lazy, look it up yourself!
March 4, 2014 at 4:16pm
Yankee Marshall says this is a farce, no letters have been sent :)
You don't know what your talking about, stop being lazy and do a web search and there are copies of the letter up on the web.

He shouldn’t have opened the door if no one identified themselves. That’s why you ask that question to begin with. if you know the person you open it, if you don’t know them or you get no response the door stays closed.
