  It is about 81 degrees today and very dry. We live south of the fire in Ventura County. We’re about 5 miles from the beach…this morning you could see the smoke hanging over the ocean. Asthma and allergies horrendous right now.

  My child (college age now) attended public high school (in Los Angeles). I like to say she survived it. Socially and spiritually it was a rough road. She never compromised who she is, proud of that. I’m afraid her fight to keep her children safe (mind, body and soul) will be much more difficult.
