Was Watertown’s Door-to-Door Search for Bombing Suspects a Violation of the Fourth Amendment?
April 23, 2013 at 11:13am
I have two comments to this. First off what happens if you come to the door armed? How would these swat teams react to that, will they ask for your weapon while they search and then give it back before they leave? Will they allow you to keep it while they search or will it be like hurricane Katrina where they tackled old ladies and confiscated everyone’s weapons some of which were not returned? Second, what if they find something illegal while searching your house for that suspect? Can you then be prosecuted for that even though you did not voluntarily let them search your house and the probable cause for them to do so was for something unrelated to whatever illegal items they found? There are some very important unanswered questions on the legality of these searches.
We Dare You Not to Get a Little Emotional Watching This 7th Grade Wrestling Vid
December 5, 2012 at 11:38am
I wrestled for many years all the way through college and some on the international level. There are many good people throughout this sport. We don’t get a lot of publicity like football, basketball and baseball but this sport is filled with many honorable hard working individuals. We are a tight knit group and we support each other no matter what team we compete for. I can still walk into a room spot someone with cauliflower ear and spark up a conversation with this random person like we are old friends. God bless this kid for doing something that many others would not do.
