Guess How Demand Is Going for That Rifle With the Tech That Makes It Difficult to Miss a Shot
May 17, 2013 at 10:06am
Seems to me that this technology’s highest and best use is – sniping humans. At 17k+, not many hunters are going to buy this thing (it costs more by itself than my entire gun collection). I don’t think the government is paying much attention to this, yet. As soon as the ‘wrong’ lawmakers figure out that civilians are buying a technology that allows an average Joe to become a deadly, 1st shot, 1000 yd sniper, they’re going to become concerned. Very concerned. I would not be surprised at all to see government attempt to ban it outside of the military and LE.
N.C. High School Student Arrested for Accidentally Leaving Gun in His Truck Gets Huge (Awesome) Surprise
May 3, 2013 at 9:50am
Maybe I’m in the minority here, but this shouldn’t have happened, period. The kid screwed up, you don’t lose track of a weapon, ever. Maybe they could’ve cut him some slack since it wasn’t intentional, but fact is, he brought his shotgun to school. For obvious reasons authorities are a little jumpy about guns at schools, not at all surprised they arrested him.
Hope it works out OK for him, but put the efffing shotgun in the safe next time.

Boston News Station: Do These Pictures Show the Second Bomb Before Explosion and a Suspicious Man?
April 17, 2013 at 1:51pm
Those street-side PO boxes are very sturdy, heavy-gauge steel and bolted to the concrete. IMO the bomb just wasn’t powerful enough to cause any significant damage to the box. Look at the broken windows on the buildings behind the box, only the windows directly behind the blast were blown out. The two adjacent properties still have glass. Look also at the blast/debris pattern clearly visible on the street, it points right back to the exact spot where the suspicious bag was. Oh yeah, that’s it all right. We know now what the bag looked like, now if they can match that bag up with video of whoever put it there …

Cool video, but man that music is intolerable. Much better after hitting the mute button );
How ’bout some ‘Enter Sandman’ ? A couple of selections from ‘The Wall’ might also work.

I’m betting that a certain has-been comedian doesn’t find this amusing.
Interesting observation – I’m surprised at how easily such soft targets can deflect a .50 caliber bullet.
Starbucks CEO Tells Shareholders to Invest Elsewhere if They Don’t Like Company’s Stance on Gays
March 26, 2013 at 4:40pm
Starbucks coffee sucks, some of the worst I’ve had. The office building where I work has a small shop that serves Starbucks coffee. That stuff is SO bad I brought in my own little tiny coffee maker. I can make a better cup or a fraction of the cost. Maybe the Lattes are good? Dunno, I don’t drink that crap.
I’ve always thought Starbucks was something of a joke, and here’s a hint for you investors. Nobody really needs Starbucks, decent coffee can be found in many places for less. As the economy gets worse (likely), fewer people will be willing to pay their prices.

Yet another Darwin Award winner.
I feel for the kids family, but DAMN, how stupid is this? I’ve taken a few risks myself, but never anything this dangerous. Consider the consequences of failure before you jump. Risking your life for ‘fun’ makes you an idiot IMO. An idiot with a short future.
