Dear God. How many of you limp wrists remember now earring seat belts when you where children? I never did.
If I had to guess dad was during a loop around the neighborhood. No big deal. Chill out and relax and stop being a bunch of panty waste safety scouts. Sounds like the type of people who turn in neighbors to the HOA for having a trash can out. Damn.
Does anybody remember the old station wagons with the metal back floor? We used to have fun sitting back there sliding all over the place when Dad took off fast or stopped fast or took corners fast. And all of that was way before seat belts were even thought of. We spent many fun hours riding/sliding back there. How in the heck did our generation make it this far without being killed? No seat belts. No bicycle helmets. Not much in the line of safety equipment in anything we did. We didn't have warning labels on EVERYTHING we owned either. It was just common sense to NOT put your foot or hand under a running lawn mower. Etc. Etc. Etc.
Limp wrists? Because we wear seatbelts? Are you familiar with statistics or are you too manly for those also?
If you don't wear a seatbelt, you're an idiot. And it's thanks to idiots like you that the government felt the need to pass a law. Thanks. The rest of us non-idiots really appreciate it.
Gorp, we had a '68 Bel Air wagon with the well in it. Fun going to drive-ins with 2 extras.
First off a person can make statistics say whatever they want it to say, its all how you ask the question. Next, I served with a guy where if he was actually wearing his seat belt he would have been killed. The nature of the accident, the engine came through the wall and took the front seats out. As he was not wearing a seat belt, he was ejected through his windshield (yea not saying this was fun) and was spared from being crushed by the engine. While he did die on the table for a minute, he was brought back and was health after his healing was all said and done. Had it been for a seatbelt that day he would have been dead. Try to think with some common sense. A seat belt, while it does provide additional safety, doesn't not always mean its going to save your life in every case. If a person chooses to drive without one, thats they're choice, not the governments. Its no different than those who have cancer and choose not to treat, its called freedom.
Do you play blackjack, armedic6581? I knew a guy who won $1000 in Vegas when he hit on 18 and got a 3. You can't tell this guy "you don't hit on 18"....ever. He thinks you're an idiot for NOT hitting on 18 because he won $1000 that one time. Of course, he's never played again. I wonder, though, if having heard this story, you'd hit on 18 or stay.
But hold on...I forgot. It's all in how you ask the question.
@Gorp: Double thumbs up! Exactly! :-)
Just to clarify. I put my seatbelt on before I put the vehicle in gear. I was a truck driver for 36 1/2 years and it was/is the law for professional truck drivers to wear the seatbelt or it's one heck of a fine along with the ticket and possible suspension or being fired from my job. I didn't need any of that. Now it's mostly habit to put it on. Maybe it will kill me. Maybe it will save my life. It all depends on the situation and accident. But what the heck. We all have to go sometime. Right? I figure that I had a birth day and I will have a death day. When that death day comes it doesn't matter what I do, or did, I'm going to croak. So, I will wear my seatbelt and/or motorcycle helmet until that day comes.
@gorp....have not seen u on here in a long time where u been
I've been around and commenting on different stories but not as much as I normally do. Some stories strike me enough to comment and some don't. I'm still alive and kicking tho.

“refused to perform work duties.”
Isn’t that why chamber of commerce wants immigrants? To work? Cheaply?
Democrats lack a “cohesive narrative”? Nope, you are all on board for the destruction of this country. Democrats have an identity crisis? Ah yup, now people know what you are doing. Crisis Identified.

Ignorance of any law is not a valid excuse for breaking it.

Wait just a minute there Rand. You think Romney is the only one changing a few themes to get votes? What happened to you? It appears the GOP machine has sank their hooks deep into your hiney and you have also changed. I used to enjoy listening to your conservative message. But about a year ago, you started sounding like a RINO. Take your own advice; No, no, no, never.

Calling DUI checkpoints “very structured, organized, unconstitutional gestapo events that are taking place to remove your rights, my rights and our familys’ that are driving down these roads,” Scott acknowledged that drivers passing through checkpoints retain their right to remain silent, but he was adamant that windows have to come down even though your right to travel is being infringed upon. So shut up and give me your’ papers. FIXED you’re welcome

Gowdy, Gohmert any STAUNCH Conservative will do. The Speaker of the House is not required to be a Congress-person. So (incomplete and in no particular order) Limbaugh, Cain, Palin, Beck, West, Bachmann, Malkin, Levin, Jason Lewis. This list could be quite extensive. I am not confident the orange man will be removed, not one bit. Folks, it’s sad really. It is painfully obvious that the orange man does not represent us any longer by forcing that crappy omnibus through.
Even the GOP considers Gohmert a male Bachmann.
You need to get out more.
My first introduction to Looey was on an interview show
and he started talking about "terror" babies.
You know what they say about first impressions?
He hasn't disappointed, either.

The prosecution made a mistake. This one, “defense’s closing arguments that focused on the perceived weaknesses in the state’s case, including the failure to gather physical evidence to help prove the girls’ testimony.” Failure to gather evidence? what? Singing “Dixie” was not too bright either.

Knowing these two and their views, who are the sickos that forced Kimberly to do this. Beckel is a disgusting human being and if you voted yes, you should be ashamed of yourself. As an American, I am sorry this happened to you Kim.
I totally agree however, I have a couple of comments. Beckel is not human and Kimberly dropped in my views of her.

I can honestly say, thank god for that. If he did have the military’s and police approval, I am confident he would make an attempt to usurp the constitution and go for all out dictator. However, he can still start a war and work the end around game. Hearing 20-40 selective service ads on iheart radio while listening to beck rush hannity, scares the living crap out of me. my .02

No he can not!! Dont you listen to the radio show? Sharpton mis-speaks everything on the teleprompter.
