None of the mass murderers and none of the thugs in Chicago are registered gunowners. How was ‘Background Checking’ registered gunowners going to make anybody safer?
I went to a ‘shoot’ at a local gun club the other day. There was 200 men and women walking around with guns. Everyone of them had a pocket full of ammunition. No one was hurt, no one was killed. You would expect with all those guns it would be a bloodbath. It wasn’t. Meanwhile at the local jails there are murders and rapes every week and there are no guns allowed inside.
    Evil people do evil things.

  • What a freaking liar. Our dear leader said that the Republicans turned down this legislation. I saw four Democrats in the list of nays, so it wasn’t the Republicans that turned it down. It was a group of Republicans and Democrats that turned it down. Big difference.

  • Get ready for the backlash. Remember what happened when the sequester was forced on us. He acted like a little kid cut all the critical services.

  • My eyes are bleeding. Who comes up with this crap?

  • I fly a lot. And On just about every flight there’s always one person who thinks that the rules don’t apply or they can tie up the flight attendants time or, as in this case, change things to suit them. Go to United.com you can see what movies are going to be playing on your flight. If you don’t like it take a different flight. If you don’t like it bring alternate entertainment. They can’t change it to suit you. Denver to Baltimore is probably a 777 there’s 300 Some odd people on that flight waiting to see Alex Cross. one family brings their little kids and you should turn it off?? There’s only 3 attendants serving 200 or so people in coach, that’s 65 or so each. You just can’t tie up an attendants time like that during your flight. Also, I read in the newspaper article that they demanded the pilot’s name and the flight attendants name and all that sounds like a veiled threat to me.

  • I’d love to hear ‘the rest of the story’. Doesn’t make sense that a pilot or crew would put his plane in jeopardy and put his job in jeopardy for somebody quietly complaining. I’m calling BS on that. I suggest that these people started stirring up the other passengers and causing a problem. You Simply cannot have pandemonium on an airliner, where there’s only one or two or three flight attendants for the entire 200 person plane. Some of these jack wads Need to get a life . So sorry every movie on every flight can’t be BAmbi, it’s just the way it is. There are more people flying than two-year-olds. Check with United.com before you fly and find out in advance what the movie is. Make plans accordingly.

  • Same thing happened to me. But I live in New York State. When the thugs broke in, i went to one room ,opened the safe ,grabbed my gun , went over to the Bureau got the key for the trigger lock, took that off, went to another room, opened that safe got the ammunition out, loaded the gun and then engaged the perps.
    Same thing!

  • “I am concerned that as Trooper Swindle acted in such fashion to me, that he would do so to any law-abiding citizen of our state,” McBurney wrote.

Not trying to be a nit picker , but the legislator isn’t a ‘law abiding citizen’ as he has clearly broken the law
