My sister in law belongs to a co-op here in Texas (Dallas and the Arlington areas). I asked her about it and she said it did happen, but this particular co-op didn’t attend meetings, had tires on their property, etc., generally it was an eye sore. Most co-ops are not like this. Each one raises what they can. Members who don’t raise, only buy, pay a yearly subscription fee, then pay so much a “share” of the crops. They don’t know what they’re getting, whatever came ripe that month. It’s the best way to get cheaper organic vegetables and fruits. If this was a legitimate co-op farm, then the government would be against farmer’s co-ops. That’s what I thought until I spoke to my SIL….

Traveling out of your area involves more than just transportation/gas. You have meals, accomodations, etc. Being low income myself, I can’t attend anything that’s not in my area.

Agree. Headline should have been, Idiot fires shotgun after officers respond to dispute over pastor being fired, ends up dead.

As someone who was “dominated by a man” at the age of 4, yes, I do find it offensive. If anyone approached me in that way, especially the part about if a woman says no, just wait and try again later, Yes, I would shove his nose up into the cavity where his brain is supposed to be.

Every wedding I’ve been to, you bring a gift (usually from something the bride and GROOM registered for). To expect an envelope with money in it is really crass and low rent. My mom raised me to appreciate ANY gift from ANYBODY. And I’m gluten free, so it would be something my HUSBAND got to enjoy.

Raising someone above the regular standard that everyone else has to follow, or lowering the standard so they appear better, is about as racist as you can get. It means they’re too stupid to follow the rules that everyone else does. 1. Obama is HALF black, 2.) if he were a totally white republican man, with all he’s done, the left would be calling for him to be hanged for treason.

Only shot once when his daughter was threatened? Now that’s gun control. I’m afraid I would have emptied it into the person who threatened my children.

I don’t think Putin likes the Islamists, and is just realizing Obama might be one, or at least a sympathizer.

Being the parent of a special needs child, I think the photographer was doing his best. That is one HUGE wheel chair. If placed in front of the risers, there could have been no children on the first level because even sitting, he’s taller. I think he did the best he could.

Not when most are from Pakistan, it’s not about cheap labor. It’s about getting radicals into our country. And I think O might be trying to justify the NSA now.

And I don’t remember any American citizen being so afraid of this government that they felt they HAD to seek asylum in another country.

That’s assuming that the rumors of voter fraud are not true. I only know a couple people who voted for him. Or else, I just keep better company than I realized.

Bringing up the matter now only makes the BUSH administration look bad, as that’s the White House that would have been in charge at the time. Check his donations.

Sometimes God gives miracles THROUGH the medical community. He made man smart enough to become doctors. No one suggested we only pray for the girl and not have the surgery.

You mad, Bro? Started reading our emails and discovered we don’t like you? Started listening in on us and discovered we blame you for Benghazi?

I wondering how all those “bows” got through security….TSA must not be involved.

I totally agree. My son has an Iphone (at almost 14) but it’s not a working phone, it’s just for games (no SIM card). I have to put the password in for a free game. I make him leave the room, and have it set where he has to enter the password every time.

My husband broke his leg in a scooter accident (I usually butch it up and say motorcycle, but it was a Vespa) and after 2 surgeries, being off work for 3 months (with no pay), paying two mortgages, car payment, etc. we still made it. When the excess money and the shelves were almost empty, he went back to work anyway. His hardware broke before he was healed, breaking his leg again, requiring a surgery that took bone from his hip to MAKE a bone for his lower leg, where some bone had died. We never asked for money, we tightened the belt and went on. Loss of a job is a real time, non-conspiracy theorist reason to stock a couple month’s food.
