I never did heroin or smoked crack because I didnt want to. Not because it was illegal. Its easier for school aged kids to get illicit drugs than it is for them to by cigarettes or beer. In my opinion, legalizing drugs wouldnt add to the addiction rate, it would simply take away the illegal violence created on the black market over cash. Clearly the war on drugs hasnt worked. Time to try something new. And no I am not a Ron Paul supporter by any means.

Another reason not to go above the Mason Dixon Line in my opinion. The day people start going to jail for gun possession here in Texas is the day I go to jail. NYC is another place to put on the list of places not to travel. Im sure the NYPD has bigger and badder guys to worry about than an old dude in his hotel ordering room service.
